All those katana wheels i see are either silver or black. I can't find a white one and I am not sure if i want to powder coat two sets (but maybe a little persuasion would help)

personally i kinda like the contrast; and have grown on them quite a bit. But I always wondered what the bike would look like with other color choices....

The downside to white is it's more of a struggle to clean as they will always look dirty. Brake dust is not white

Silver under candy blue, like that fork brace ... muahahahahah ...
The silver under candy blue was invented by moi ... to match the GS 04 blue. It came pretty close but this blue is a bit different ... I know, cos I have one this color.
Cool.

I used to like that gunmetal color ... in pens etc ... till I got a bike that color ... Annoying. It looks great on a gun cos its all that metal, but not gun metal colored paint, it looks like paint not like metal.
I actually like silver or black ... call me simple minded ... but yea.
Atleast for the hard metal parts. Frame, centerstand, other mechanical bits. Simple black works fine. The stock silver and variants there of ... maybe a very deep blue or a very deep green. If green it need to look balck in anything but direct sunlight. That would be it.
Wheels actually can be counted as semi body parts ... so paint em same as your bike's color, or do em in the same shade as the frame. However I have to say, white sucks. I'd take body match, silver or even satin finish dark gold like a ducati over white.

I never liked the white rims, so my vote goes to the black. That or wtforange!

Weston

Blue, the same blue as the tank. That would look sweet! Or just leave them white.

lowcountrygs

Maybe silver w/ a blue rim stripe? Would kinda match the tank without being overly blue

+1 for photochopping this thing !

i voted white wheels.... but then thought about it.

gunmetal, with a FINE blue stripe, and WIDE orange stripe. i can't show you, but make it match the tank. it will kill with awesomeness.

pat yourself on the back, i'm taking off my sv650 flyscreen tomorrow. yours looks awesome. :)

Oh, and the last picture is a beautiful bokeh !

i am no expert with photoshop but can use it a little.
Here is a picture with the wheels blue and one with them orange.
My vote is for orange cause they would look badass.

Can you do one matching the silver tank graphic?   :dunno_white:

Big Shot

I voted WTF simply because i couldn't express my opinion with just one boxed checked.

White - Not a fan.  It doesn't look bad but kinda makes the bike look...  Not mean enough?

Black - Looks meaner than white but i have a peeve about it too.  It looks good, but it's everywhere!  I would rather set myself apart from the crowd, than in it.

All other colors - Go for it!  But just simply painting any other color on it won't do.  It has to look good.  Get it right, and you're the man  :thumb:

Disclaimer: I'm sure there are plenty of bikes with other colored rims out there, but i just stare at GS's all day.  And i consider the dark grey ones to be black...

Do what's right for you - Bob!

bassmechanicsz

I could try to do the grey when i get home tonight but i think that the wheels would look much better with the color.  I am personally a big fan of the orange maybe with a polished lip or a black lip?  My photoshop skills are limited so i can't do the polished lip or maybe put a blue and silver stripe from the tank running down the spokes of the wheel.  If i weren't so lazy i would pull my wheels off and paint them.
