slipping clutch?

As I'm not too sure I just wanna ask opinions. Pulling away my bike pulls fine, but say I'm driving along and I pull the clutch, rev up and just drop the clutch it seems to slip and then make a 'geary' sound and then start pulling. I only noticed this accidentally and haven't tried it since. Maybe it was a one off with a weird amount of revs or what do you think?
Current - 1991 Suzuki GS500E choked to 33bhp ( mini spear indicators upfront, engine scoop, 20mm rear suspension increase, iridium sparks, clip on bars and a few other little bits )
