I saw a guy who's avitar was d-day who had a undertail exhaust.  I would like to know if anyone knows him.  I would like to do that to my wifes bike.  she has a 08 gs 500.  I am good at that kind of stuff.  I was just looking for a couple of questions answered that would save me some time and effort in trial and error.  what tail section did he use, it almost looks like a older r1 tailsection.  which exhaust can did he use?  and how did you combat the heat problem reflective tape or ceramic liner, maybe header rap?

Nice swingarm, Jim. The damn thing looks about 3 inches shorter than the stocker. Still sweet.

Was that a deliberate typo Jim? :icon_mrgreen:
A bad day on the bike is better than a good day in the office.

The tail is custom made for the 89-00. JamesG used to make them and then I made them for awhile. I stlil have one in carbon fiber and one in fiberglass.
I did make a mold for an 01+ race tail but only made 1 for myself, which has an undertail exhaust as well. Not sure if i will make another, too many other projects... like my SV.

If Paul (d-day) does not see this thread, pm him. He would gladly tell you all about it.
