My dad hooked me up with this guy who charged me pennies for what would have been mighty expensive. i'm planning on keeping them bad boys on there till i get my m2.

Blue GS500F K8 , zerogravity dubs bubs, clip-ons, sexy passenger ;)

Looks like some falling will be in order, so maybe get a rear slider to protect the exhaust?

their pretty much for practicing all summer till i turn 16 =P and they extend past the exhaust so it should be ok and thanks for the comments  :thumb:

Well done. If you crash hard enough to move those, side case damage is going to be the least of your worries... Is that fourth hole into the frame one that you drilled and tapped specifically for these bars? Is it just drilled and tapped or is there a bolt in there somewhere?

its where the fairing bracket goes and its supposedly a solid place to mount to so  :dunno_white: and also the l shapes off the brackets are to support the weight on the frame instead of on the engine bolts (the guy, who is a engineer told me that it can crack the case if its directly attached)

Ah, I ride an E, so I don't have those brackets. Those do look like seriously strong cases. I have some old Buddha case guards that I just "tested." They did well in a crash, and it turned out that the weak point was the engine bolts. Now I need a couple of new engine bolts, but of all the other things in that area that could have been destroyed, they were the cheapest and easiest to replace...

Engine bolts 20 a pair+ shipping
Use a pair of 1/2 inch nuts as spacers so you can grip and cut them etc if they bend ... (this was rema1000's idea)

So when you lean into a turn, what hits first? Looks like it might be the "crash" bars. I have not good personal experience with that causing a crash. If the first thing that touches the ground is not your hinged rider footpeg, really bad things happen....
