was the tank rubber trim changed after 2001?

Hello,

I would like to use a 2001 fuel tank on my '93. I have the tank. However, it came without a rubber trim around the perimeter. I have a brand new rubber trim that I ordered a while ago for my '93 tank, but when I try to instll it on the 2001 tank, it doesn't stay all that well.

I don't know if the trim is supped to be glued on or simply slipped on the edges of a tank.

Or is it possible that the trim was changed along with the shape of the tank after 2001?

I have a 94, and the F's do have bigger tanks, but if the rubber trim is long enough, just use some trim adhesive and trim it to fit if you have to.  That's what I would do.

My 97 had the tank trim but my 02 doesn't.  Don't think they used on any models after 00.  You can always confirm it by checking the parts fiches.
