This is  an 06 by the way....Ok so I was draining the tank to make it easier to lift and I put the petcock on RES and took the RES hose off the frame petcock and into the gas can.  The Run line was still attached to the frame petcock.  Now when the fuel started fllowing to drain the tank, gas we coming out of the RES nipple on the frame petcock...Is that normal or a sign of a bad petcock?  :dunno_white:

I suspect 06 is too new to have a bad petcock.  I think you pulled the hose from the supply side rather than the drain side of the petcock.  Besides, when you want to drain the tank, once you get the hose into your gas can you want to put the petcock on prime, not reserve.  ON and RES are off when the engine isn't turning.

What do you mean supply side and drain side?  I took the Res hose off the frame petcock to drain the tank.  I opened the valve underneath the tank to allow the fuel to flow.  I just left the main fuel line attached to the frame petcock so fuel was still flowing to the frame petcock as well as to my gas can but it was leaking out the RES nipple.  Once i figured out what was happening i placed both lines into the gas can.  Im just wondering of it s normal for fuel to be leaking out of that res nipple on the frame petcock
