Front springs

So im going to get some straight rate springs, probably sonic because they are cheaper, but I used the race tech calculator and it said .868.  Im 5'6 and 170 ibs.  Im going to put a kat rear shock, already got it in fact, just need front springs.  My question is should I get 0.85 or 0.90.  Im mostly do street riding so I dont want it to be stiff as hell.  Any advice?

I suggest .85
I'm like 185# and have .90 sonics. They are pretty stiff even with the extra weight I have on you. If you don't plan on ever having your bike on the track then get the .85 ans 15w oil.

I have some RaceTech .80s for sale $60 + shipping. If that isn't too light for you.

Local suspension guru suggests 30 weight? I haven't tried it. I am about to do new seals and 20 weight.

I have .90 and it seems fine.  i am 170 without gear.  You cant go wrong with .85  especially if you are going to replace the oil to a 15w.  I chose .90 because i am using the bike as a track bike as well.

Remember you might just want to leave your stock spring in and use heavier oil if you havent bought springs yet.  Someone here in the forum did just that.. cause his insurance did not want him to have aftermarket springs...  and he seemed happy with it.   Do this if you havent bought the springs yet..see if you like the feel.

If you decide to buy the springs remember to change the oil to 15w or you wont really feel that much of  a difference.

So if I get .85 and dont like it I can maybe put in a higher weight fork oil and stiffen it up a little?  Either way it would feel better than sliding forward at ever stop because the nose dives so much.  Any of yall have the kat rear shock?  Will that add any weight forward since it makes the bike sit another 1.5in higher in the rear?

I noticed with the GSXR rear shock jacking the rear of the bike up that it felt like the steering was quicker (and the rake was probably steeper)

I noticed a bigger difference changing tire profile than installing the Kat shock. That ride height difference with the Kat shock, especially at the softest setting where I keep it for commuting, is hardly noticeable.
