Is it just me???

Is it just me or does every bike that is for sale with damage seem to have the damage done by "the previous owner"???  Every ad on CL seems to state it was the previous owner that dropped the bike.  Not that it matters who damaged it, all that matters to the perspective buyer is that damage exists.  Is it just an ego thing?  Almost every bike I have owned has been bought used and almost all of them had some dents/dings when I bought them.  By the time I sold them they had a few more dents/dings that I added.  I have dropped my current GS at least 3 times that I can remember.  No spectacular crashes, just stupid accidents when I came to a stop.  I wasn't even riding one time, just pushing the bike around the driveway.  Then again, maybe I'm the only one...

It's just you...

Heh.....

Every bike I've sold was damaged by the previous owner(s).... Then I fixed them...
I'd call it 50/50 on the ego to truth ratio....( wild ass guess...).

I also have no idea why " it matters" ... like the damage will be somehow diminished  if an unnamed 3rd party did it....
When the 2nd Amendment is lost, the rest will soon follow.

I used to think the same way before I bought a bike with a ding in the gas tank from...........................the previous owner. Now,  if I end up posting it on craigslist I get to be "that guy".
