BTW I sold a nighthawk S to a SC dude no less a few years ago. Mine would have been easy to spot ... no 1/4 fairing, a round headlight and nighthawk guages - yes non S guages, see on the S the guages fit into that 1/4 fairing.

In a straight line it will out accelerate a gs, its actually a comparable to a GS750 of old ... however the thing handles like an f150 ... yup, I own one of those, yes the same.
A savage will not out run nothing ... but will handle well enough to make you believe you are ... but remmeber its a cruiser wiht a 33 degree rake and a 75 inch wheelbase ...
