Awwww Guys I'm touched. Not by Yama either LOL!

Wanna guess what I did yesterday? It was very very awesome. My Best Friend took me to the Beach! We ended up at Melbourne Beach. We took our motorcycles was a 75 mile one way trip which was a very nice road with very little traffic.

About half way to Melbourne my best friend pulls over to the side of the road. WTF please oh please say there is nothing wrong! I pull up next to him. MMMM, okay why are we stopping in the middle of nowhere? "How would you like to ride my bike for a little while?" Bill, has a 2006 Honda Shadow Aero. Flick is the biggest bike I've ever ridden and he's never even let me sit on the riders seat much less ride his bike. For reference the Shadow's name is Holly because most people pull up next to him and say "Is that a Haaaarly you riding" so Holly sounds close! About 20 miles prior I hit a bit of a bump on Flick and it jammed my bad hip so Bills thinking that I could ride Holly and stretch out a bit. OMG! How different was Holly from Flick! Before, I go out on the "road" I want to try Holly out on the side road. Because, I'd be a dead girl if I dropped Holly! When I took off I tried to tuck my feet up WTF no pegs oh yeah right I have to stretch my legs out. So, it took me about 10 miles to get the feel of Holly and I start accelerating and I finally get up to speed limit comfortably. I was focusing so much on riding Holly that I didn't see over in the next lane a guy on a Harley waving frantically at me! I'm not used to cruisers waving at me I guess. So, I wave at him and he looks for a little while longer and pull ahead. Bill later told me that the guy had been checking me out for a good five minutes before I realized! Bill was like "if he only knew what you really rode".  So, I rode Holly about 25 miles and I saw a nice turn off road and stopped. Oh the irony it was "Camp Holly".

Bill asked me how I liked Holly she's nice and she works entirely different muscles than Flick does. I was amazed at how much wind you pick up from a non-faired motorcycle. I had also forgotten how much I relied on my cramp buster. Holly had a lot of low end tourque that gets her off the line faster than Flick. But, I sure was amazed that the 750 bike  didn't like much above 75 while Flick just wants to go. Holly well she likes to go low and slow. Flick is like a wound up litle top begging to fly!

So, we continued our ride and saw a large pack of motorcycle cops had to be at least 50 of them. That was kinda a cool. When we get about ten miles away from the beach I got hit by a bee at 70mph. OUCH! I immediately pull over to the side of the road my neck was burning like fire. I rip off my helmet and grab my neck. Bill is a bit worried at that point and jogs up to me and Flick and I tell him what happened. Upon examining the sting which was already the size of a quarter he saw the stinger. He gently slides it out with a credit card. We sit for a couple of moments to regain my composure. Great! knowing my luck I'll have an allergic reaction or something!

Well, we stop at the nearest gas station to see if they have a topical anti-histamine. No, luck they did have xbox 360 games and condoms but no benadryl. Bill, grabs a couple of gatoraides and we chug about half of the 32oz bottle and head for the beach.

We got there and it was ohh so beautiful there! We find a parking spot and park the bikes lock up the helmets and everything and go to the bathroom and change. It was very hot about 100 degree heat index. We had to run across the sand . When we got to the water it was still kinda chilly but felt good because we were extremely hot  from riding. The waves were a little harsh but not too bad. We spent an hour there and it was kinda busy. At this point we  needed something very cold we finished up the gatoraide and start cruising A1A and found this place that had Chocolate Italian ice. Bill, ordered us both one and we savored the frozen treat and rode around a little more to find a restaraunt for later. Then we found a nice secluded beach with free parking so we headed back to the ocean shore. It was so pretty and quite. Well, with the exception of some latin guys that were kinda fat and were diving into the waves as it hit the shore. It reminded me  of walruses's sliding in to get the barnacles off of their blubber LOL! Then one guy shouts out from the group we're coming to America and starts kissing the sand! We, fell over laughing hysterically. It was so peaceful and relaxing on this part of the beach. As 1700 rolled around we figured it was time to head home.

We couldn't find anything that appeased us so we grabbed a roast beef sandwich and relaxed in the airconditioned place. The ride back home was equally relaxing. When we made it to his house we each took a nice long cold shower. Ohh, did that feel good on our burnt skin! We ended up being too tired to go out anywhere so we ordered our favorite Chineese tace out and that is how my birthday ended!

How awesome of a day was that?
