Indeed bro ive ridden those BEFORE my back was fubar. sometimes comfy if the roads were good. but ive jarred teh hell out of myself a few times. the '41 flathead jockeyshift i rode at the dragon was the same way. TBH id forgo the harley UNTIL you get the back worked on. , hehe pot calling the kettle black Eh?, yes i know mary, yes i know. lol, nehow, im looking at TPI's or the epidural myself so i can work on my back without the god awful pain if i move it too far. right now if i walk somewhat geezer like im okay i need to take a week off well 4 or 5 days, do nothign but get int eh water sopmewhere, and work on my back, and newbie you do the same. those vics are HELL to coem off of, well youll be a bit of an ass as you come down from them, and any pain you were coering up will rear its ugly head. trust me this i know im tryin to stay off of them officially or otherwise

*whistles theme to mash*
indeed, BUT getting on ANY bike intoxicated is a bad idea , a bike needs far more concentration than an auto or liekwise. now im NOT advocating operating anytign while intoxicated by any means, if im drivng i may have one drink with friends at dinner or somethign. HOWEVER if im riding , no drinks at all btw terry, the umlaut looks and works better than the ch you liek to use, aka Donkeyfucher versus Donkeyfücker   8)

jserio...........not looking for a pitty party just telling what happened.......got some good insight about those shots they wanna give me on monday.......so all in all this post was very helpfull...........as far as drinking and driving goes ridding on the street is different than off road.......................its not like you run the risk of others lifes off road, but im sure you have never had a few drinks and hopped on a atv, motorcycle, or in a car ever in your life cause your just that much better than everyone else right???? :kiss3:

jserio

had a few drinks before driving home in the car? sure, i'm sure most people who drink have. a bike? never. will never. a bike requires much more attention than a car. one drink before riding is too many in my opinion. hopefully this is a lesson learned for you. not saying i'm better than you, just, at that time, you were dumber than me.  :icon_mrgreen:  no hard feelings i hope!

Actually, I guess I can be the high and Righteous one here. I have never ever had a drink before I drove, operated heavy machinary, anything that could hurt me. Honestly, I've maybe had five drinks in my life! TBH to me aclochol taste chitty so why do I want to drink something that taste awful! Give me a Yakoose drink or a milk shake and I'm a happy camper!

I've also never picked up a cigeratte or anything illegal for that matter and life is prety dang good. Although, it does piss me off seeing people Fluck up their body with things they don't need to. If you don't need your heart and your O+ I gladly take it and take proper care of it. You have no idea how much you miss your health until it's gone. Unfortuantly, I lost mine at 21 and it sucks and nothing I could do about it!

I was the road sergeant at a small police department about 8 years ago, and I was getting baaaaad sciatica...got an MRI, diagnosed degenerative disc disease...bad, not gonna get any better.  L5 shredded, L4 going, L3 on its way.  They wanted to do back surgery, I told em to bugger off, since I was on the road and I know those surgeries dont' always work.

At any rate, we're so short people that I'm going to the doctor on shift and getting the cortizone injections in order to keep working.  Doctor always got pissed, told me to take it easy, but I'm the supervisor - what are you gonna do?

Anyways, I got my injection about 3pm one afternoon, get off at 5pm.  About 3:30, I see a guy that's got four felony warrants for burglary and theft, I turn around on him, light it up, vehicle chase ensues, he bails out, we run on foot through a backyard, over a chain link fence, through a guy's living room, out into the woods, where I get ahold of him and get him down and in cuffs.  While we're wrestling around, my back goes *ping* and I'm in trouble.  I get the guy in cuffs, but I can't get back up, so I hold him at gunpoint until my Lieutenant could get there.  They had to end up carrying me out of the woods.

Boy was my doctor pissed about that.  So was my Lieutenant.  So was my ex-wife lol.

You are right.
I had the surgery and 3 months later I am hurting like #$^* again.  >:(
Now they want me to have some steroid shots in the disc to see if that will help.  :cookoo:

i'm sure i could attribute some of my back/neck pain/migraines to a car accident as well. i've not really been the same since then. got ran over whilst walking in December 2003.  :cookoo:

 :o That SUCKS
I hope you had a good lawyer.

Yep I have 3 disc in my neck that are jacked up but the doc said the risk is far greater that the reward for doing surgery in it.
I get dizzy every now and then and have very very bad migraines do to it but the meds do help, I just hate taking meds.

my lawyer fu(ked me. serioiusly. one held the case for over 6 months, claimed he was working on it and nothing was changed. then suddenly dropped it. took me another 8 months to find another attorney. this one held the case until oh, about a month before statute of limitation to file was up, then dropped the case as well. by this time, i had done moved to ohio and couldn't get the paperwork into the court in time on my own. when i asked about possibly taking either attorney to court, i was told, "good luck with that, most all attorney's around here play golf together." the insurance company flat out told me, "you shouldn't have been walking there". i've got doctor bills i'm still paying on. oh well, what can you do you know?
