Purchased a 2004 500F that bogs down at the low end and around 5k rpm.  checked and it has the stock jets, factory air filter, and v&h full exhaust.  What size jets do I need to go to?

Im not an expert on this but I dont think its supposed to bog down with just a exhaust on it.  Was it sitting for along time before you got it?

The guy before rode it often.  It seems to be too lean or too rich (unsure of which).

Well if it starts sputtering then its prolly to lean, but this is more of a question for Buddah, im suprised he hasnt chimed in yet.  Maybe he is still asleep or something.

Sorry - ok stock filter, pipe - yes make sure filter is nice and clean - flowery white is a good color, else clean it - in gas, dry it and put it back on - good for 2-3 uses like that atleast.
Then rejet with a +1 pack.
Pack is $25 to your door wihtout mids. It has 2 washer per needle, a pair of 20 pilots, 132.5 mains and 8 4mm allen head stainless bolts for your float bowls.
Check float height, put light coat of gasket maker sealant on the float gasket (not silicone, that is for making balloon boobies) and fit it back on.
Cool.

Appreciate the advice.  Will look into jet pricing and be back in touch.
