I would replace that 1 valve ... or do 2 intakes ... or all with kibble white and have a engine shop do a 3 angle valve job on the head.
I believe kibblewhite sends theirs with the 3 angle precision machined in the valve.
I also would deck the head for trueness and it will seal better when you put gaskets and re fit.
Cool.

Thanks Buddha. That might be an idea for the future for sure! I went ahead and took the rest of the valves out and they all came out smoothly. I also went ahead with lapping each valve and that seems to have gone well too. I think I will go ahead with the single valve, 2 new buckets and maybe order some new guides "just in case." After I get all this done, I am going to get those bearings from you. (Havent' forgot.  ;) )

Hopefully that will be all I need to do to get this thing fired up soon! Geeeesh!

Again, thanks to everyone with suggestions.

Trwhouse: I still may need to rent your spring compressor if I can't figure out how to make what I got tonight work out.

I got my replacement intake valve and 2 buckets in this past week and was able to get them installed. The buckets seemed a little tight fitting but they all spin easily. (The right intake is still a smidge tight but I expect it should be fine as time goes. I lapped all the valves and they looked really good once I was done. Cleaned everything up and installed the head today.

I took measurements of the valve shim clearances again and it seems better. Still a bit off so shims will probably be in order but they measured out correctly this time without variances during each check.

Left Intake - .04 (Maybe .03)
Right Intake - .08 (Maybe .09)
Right Exhaust - .08 (Maybe .09)
Left Exhaust - .13 (Still big)

Much better. Thanks for all the help and suggestions from everyone.

Glad you got it fixed :thumb:  I'm next in line for this...I've got an exhaust valve/bucket sticking and want to pull the head off as soon as I can get my bike home to work on it.

Where did you get the buckets?  Ron Ayers, Bikebandit, or something like that, or just go to a shop?

Yep. Bike Bandit. For most of the engine stuff, they have been able to get it to me pretty quick. (May not be the cheapest but still decent.)
