I wonder if the tail section has heat shielding as well? Just wondering what the heat would do to the bodywork if it was just left as stock.

Boy, as if a pillion on an R1 didn't have it bad enough, now they get roasted too!  hehe

its made from "CoolCeramic technology" which is meant to keep it from heating up too much.

correction:its only for 02-03 R1, not 01...as if it mattered to me.

I like the underseat exhaust of a honda 600rr.  Looks like some fighter plane jet engine exhaust under the seat.  More of a circle than the R1.  That's just me.

Then you'll probably like the tail of the Benelli Tornado. The radiator is under the seat.

I was actually thinking more from an aftermarket perspective...that benelli looks nice, if not a little strange. the 600rr looks good too but once you install an aftermarket on that it looks odd. I saw one saturday that had a two bros. exhaust-perfectly round coming out from under the seat and it looked like it hadnt been thought through from a design standpoint.
