I always just browse ebay buying stupid stuff I don't need for example: tasers, makeup for the gf, new batteries for my phones, motorcycle turn signals, headphones etc. So I came across these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370153100559&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT and I bought them. I got them today and they're pretty cool. They do exactly what they say! I can't wait to put them on and ride around tonight with my brother. They're so absolutely illegal and stupid it makes me grin. For $3.60 shipped I thought why not??

:woohoo: :woohoo:

Porkchop

Why would they be illegal?  Is because they are blue?

Yeah, MD law says no blue lights of any sort! Porkchop you live in MD??!?!??!!!??!

bassmechanicsz

The blue lights are illegal in most states.  I have had blue fog lights and blue blinkers on my cars and every time i put the bulbs in i get pulled over instantly and get a $44 ticket.  The reasoning that blue is illegal is because it is reserved for emergency vehicle use only.
K&N Lunchbox, Jardine Full Exhaust, 15T Front Sprocket, 40T Rear Sprocket, Shock Racing LED Mirrors, LED front blinker, LED Integrated Taillight, Additional LED rear blinkers, Scorpion sealed Battery, NGK Iridium Spark Plugs, Cafeboy seat cowl (in process of painting)

How about red?  I was thinking of putting lights on my bike.

Red is only allowed on the rear of a vehicle... and its also reserved for emergency vehicles. Most places, amber is OK... Most states blinking lights are also out.

It looks pretty similar to a lot of stuff I had in Thailand. I preferred the chicken and pork to the squid though. The crunchy tentacles freaked me out.

I also love browsing ebay when I don't actually need anything. I still usually stick to a few narrow interests and don't branch out too much. Gotta be careful with the makeup though, I feel some of those things (makeup, perfume, shampoos, etc) risk a response of "what, are you saying I'm ugly/smell bad/dirty/etc?!?!" if they're not presented just right, haha. I tend to avoid them as gifts.

platinum_black

in britain you can buy those in the shops and they arent illegal at all, i used to have them on my mountain bike, but i decided never to put them on my motorbike when i saw the outcome of someone with them on, basically because they make the valve heavier, if u push the bike at all the g force starts to bend the valve out the way and it can in best case let a little air out of ur tyres but in worst case it can rip the valve out of the tyre and at speed that is gonna hurt.

The last time I looked, they're illegal in ALL 50 states.  You got the reasoning right though.

Your right.  I did some reseach and found they banned them last year in MD (prior to the ban, there was a loop hole for motorcycles).  Sorry, I missed the memo.

It wasn't fried. The tentacles were naturally crunchy. I did not appreciate that.
