Got my 214 in preparation for re-enlistment.  According to the kind souls at St. L., I am Air Crew Survival Systems qual'd along with my Intel and Infantry 4a.  I don't exactly remember that, but fuch it, more quals= more promotion points.  They also show me having enlisted a full year (to the day) before I did.  According to my 214, I was 16 when I enlisted. :cookoo:  It also shows no Basic Training under schools. (called a buddy and his shows it)  I'm not sure how one 214 can be this fuched up, but it is.

So, to recap: I have an extra MOSQ, an extra year TIS and never attended BCT.  Yeah, this'll be fun to figure out.
The recruiter I've been working with doesn't even know where to start.

spc not telling you nothing that you don't know but that DD214 is very very important. Better get that thing squared away ASAP. Hopefully you have copies of your orders and stuff of that nature for things that you did do that is not listed.

When I ETS'd in 1998 I made sure my DD214 was accurate and I immediattely took it down to the county clerk and had it posted as public record so I could never lose it.

If your recruiter can't help you he's an idiot! Find another one. :thumb:

The only training missing are BCT and Combat Lifesaver.  I'm not real worried about CLS, it's a 4 day course, nothing special and not a big deal to do again.  He's running it by his SGM early next week and hopefully we'll figure something out.  As is, we're both tempted to run with it since I'd have to do BCT over anyway(didn't make E-5 and been out over 2 years).

Believe it or not Combat Live Saver is something you defiantly want on your record. I was CLS too. They must have changed the rules I thought it was 3 years and you had to go back through basic training? Anyway you was only an E-4 when you ETS'd? What was your MOS 11B? If so I would try for something else this time.

If you have your certificate from CLS or a copy of your orders that's all you will need to submit to personnel records and have them update DD214. Do you have a copy of your DA201 file? If you do there should be something in there about CLS.

I was 96b, problem was being guard and all e5 slots were full.  I actually managed to find my orders both to CLS and BCT. I remember it being 3 years also, but it's not a big deal. If they want to pay me  to play the same ol games and take another 9 weeks to get my run down really well, I'm good with it. No one said anything about getting busted, that's all I'm worried about.
