Have you tried angling your bars back a little bit? It looks like they're pointed down quite a bit. That would flatten them out as well as pull them a little closer to you, and would probably make you feel a little more comfortable.

I can't angle them anymore, they're already touching the tops of the forks.

Cool.

No thanks, not looking to spend money on it for a while

In case it helps, the new style vortex clipons mounted under the triple are 33.5 inches from the pavement at the middle of the grip.  They're a 7 degree drop in case it helps you compare to other bars.

I'm with the other guys.  If you're tall (I'm 6'1") they're so much better than stock or any other bar with a lot of pullback.  You won't constantly feel like you're getting pushed back on the bike or have a set of bars jammed into your chest.   Pretty comfortable on 40 minute commutes to too...better than my old 89s.

As soon as the buddha gets me a modified katana stem these nearly new mint 4 month old clipons will be for sale...since I have to buy 41mm's.  How's that for a shameless "buy these from me" plug?  :D

DIBS on these when they go on sale.

The general consensus was that for taller guys, the lower bars "felt" better. I have sat on a few sport bikes with clip ons and thought they were too low and it seemed hard to look around without straining my neck and the upright stock bars seem way too high. So, I ordered the dragbars. I should be getting them tomorrow and I'll post some pics once I get them installed. These should also allow me to fit the ducati screen a little easier. (That thing is a lot bigger than I thought. I am hoping it will look decent.

What kind of handle bars are these?

yeah, the suburban machinery bars look fantastic...I just don't want to cough up the beans for it! :)

yes but the sm2's are soooo nice. I'm 6'4" and without the pains in my arse I could ride all day. they lean you in just enough but if i want I can easily sit upright if I so choose.
caught mine for a steal on ebay at 75 shipped.

Well, you feel like taking some measurements/angles off those bars?? I'm sure that anyone with a tig welder (I know- yay for me right) could whip those up pretty easily... what are the angles like on the downturn?

Well, after driving 6 hours and 5.5 hours worth of work, I arrived home to find a set of nice shining new gold drag bars in a box!  O0 I also received this HUGE plastic sausage and upon opening, I found a gorgeous D&D slip on! (Thanks an!)

So, I took a pitstop, changed into some cooler clothes (I live in a steam bath) and proceeded to install the bars. Here are some pics for comparison of stock bars and drag bars. (Please forgive the ugly rider for his shabby looks and big belly. God, I have to lose some weight.) Also sorry for the dark pictures. It got dark.

And ideas on the D&D. I am thinking of having it mounted high near the seat. Any thoughts?

I have drag bars, but they vibrate too much.  I need bar ends or something.

Hahaha! I am. Like a stone..........actually, I had sat the camera on my truck hood in the first one and I thought to myself "I look plain stupid sitting out here taking a self portrait." Then, after sweating a bucket just turning a wrench, I thought "Uuuuuuugh, I need air!" I'm such a dork!

You have the same look in both of the pictures, which I thought was hilarious.

Yep. Just hotter in the second picture. (Not in a good way.)  :icon_mrgreen:

They both look good. As far as the pictures, I always have the same exact look on my face in pictures. I have since I was 4. You should probably attach the exhaust with a metal strap though :thumb:

It seriously looks like you photoshopped your face in those pictures. Too funny.

I've had stock, superbike, and drag bars.  I like the drag bars the best, I'd like to get a really really low rise renthal bar and try that out someday, and have superbike bars currently because I was curious and wanted to try them.   I really preferred the drag bars for the look and that they seemed to turn in quicker than the superbike bars.  Superbike feel kinda close to stock even though they are a bit better looking than stockers.  I really miss my drag bars.  You can get them for 12.99 from some places and they're really easy to install just need to drill one little spot on them and you're golden.
