I know I've left it a bit late in life, 64 next birthday, but wet winters are starting to bother me. In June I passed my car theory test & hazard perception which is a multi-choice thing followed by a computer game. Just after that i failed my practical test for going for a "biker" space - I got through no problem but in the oppinion of the examiner i should not have gone for it  :dunno_black:  :cookoo:
I applied for a second test immediatley but could not get one before today but I have just passed it. Mags will be delighted, but  there goes the 'busa as I'll have to buy a bleedin' car and stick with the Bandit which aint so bad. :woohoo: Had to tell somebody!!

haha, ok, I know they're technically the same language, but sometimes I have trouble translating between American english and European english

Cal Price

Ah -we all have trouble with that translations sometimes, yeah I've been biking for years - that was the reference to cold winters - I just thought it was time to stay dry and do the car thing, something I simply never really bothered about before. I had a "race" to pass with my 17yrs old grandson but it was a tie, both of us failed on a silly thing first time and passed at second attempt.

Yeah, it didn't even cross my mind because in the US it's not even an option which one you get first. If you want any other kind of license, you have to get your normal car license first, and then any other test you take is just an additional class they put on it down the line.

Congrats Cal
You deserve a lot of compliments for withstanding 60-something British winters without a car. :thumb:

Now what car are you planning to get? :thumb:

That's an interesting thing to find out for sure...  I always thought you COULD get your M endorsement before your D endorsement

For those outside the US: M = motorcycle license, D = regular vehicles

Bit small but it suits my needs quite well and my bike insurer came up trumps and allowed me my bike "no claims" years.

My god, they've put the steering wheel on  the wrong side of the car!   :D

No, they probably just reversed the picture. No one one in their "right" mind would drive on the other side of the road.

;)

Maybe one of our North Carolina GS'ers can provide you with one of the State's "I'd Rather Be Shaggin'" license plate for your new shaggin' wagon!?
