Newb from So Cal

Hey wassup all,

I tried looking for an introduction thread, but couldn't find one so my apologies if this is the wrong place.  
I picked up my 1992 GS500 towards the end of August and have been lurking around here. I registered yesterday and it told me to wait for an approval email, which i never got and I couldn't wait any longer and just tried to log in...and wha-lah   , I'm in.

Just took her in for a little tune up this Saturday, had to put a new front tire on and do an oil change and tighten up the chain. Next up I have to get new brakes and my front forks are leaking, so i'm looking online for some fork seals.

I hope to get some very valuable information on here  ...Some background on me i guess...
I obviously own the GS but I also have a '03 Ruckus w a '09 motor swap, a '82 Honda CB125S, and also a '65 Vespa 150 (project).
I not only ride motorcycle, i'm also an avid cyclist...currently training to do a ride from San Francisco to LA (545 miles  ) to benefit those living with AIDS and HIV.

That's the same color as my bike.  I can't stand the pink Suzuki logo.  How do you feel about it?

What's with the thing coming off the rear of the bike in the tiedown pic. Is that like a grounding wire in case it gets hit by lightening?

I assumed it was an extra tie down, you know, in case the front two fall off.


I love CB125s! you should load pictures of that one too. It's going to be my next bike this winter hopefully.

I absolutely hate it, can't wait till i can afford to re-paint the body and frame and take those decals off and just have the suzuki.

Thank you for all the great "welcomes," and i'm glad to hear there are more riders in the LA area.

And yeah, the string in the back was just an extra tie-down just in case.
