I was just wondering if this would fit a GS without modification.  I just noticed your location, I figured if it fits, I could just pick it up and maybe use it one day.

It does fit a GS without modification. Cos its the exact same thing.

Till 98 was it I think, 89-98 I think, 600 and 750 kats had the same wheels as GS only different colors, I got one in a deep blue, one in a ugly blue, one in yellow, one in red which I may have sold, and one in gold as well as polished etc
etc.

I was assuming, but probably work confirming, the wheel is wider, so I could potentially run a 150 or so on it later one?  Just bend the brake rod a tad and I should be good to go?

This wheel is free.  If you need a wheel who cares what it looks like, it isn't like you are wasting money on it. 

This is a tough crowd.  Even when the wheel is free people are looking to get a better deal. 

At this point it would be easier to take it to a metal recycler and buy beer with what they pay for it.
