Fairing mounted Speedo and Tach gs500f

I was wondering whether or not anyone has ever tried to mount the Speedo and Tach in the fairing like on a GSXR or most of the other race inspired bikes?

From what i can see on my bike it would just require cutting out the right sized hole on the inner black part of the fairing right below the windshield and finding some way to fasten them in.

Any ideas/thoughts would be appreciated   :icon_mrgreen:

should work  :thumb:  if it doesnt, all you gotta do is throw some carbon fiber vinyl over it, and you'll never see the hole

dont know how you would be able to access the trip odometer with it mounted like that though   :dunno_black:  might be better to do an aftermarket dash.

Aftermarket dashes are cool, but expensive.  It's unarguable that the gauges look homo mounted on the forks on a bike with fairings.  Not to mention, they're hard to read when you tuck in behind the windscreen.  I have wondered about the possibility of moving the factory gauges into the fairing myself......  It would look a lot better....

I got mine off ebay for $72  shipped, sold my old gauges for $50   as long as you sell your old gauges, you can offset nearly half the cost of the new gauges,

do you have any examples of aftermarket ones which are compatible with a 2005 GS500f?

I searched around and couldn't find anything... but im horrible with search engines, i can write them but i can use them...

just about any of the universal ones would be fine, I have a vapor, cstilt has an acewell, search "universal gauge" on the motorcycle section on ebay
