The oil I'm talking about is regular truck oil, not synthetic.  The bike shifts silky-smooth with it and the clutch grabs fine too.  I started using it this spring and I like it a lot.  I'm on the second oil change now.  It's a heavy-duty oil formulated for diesel engines and farm equipment.  It has no friction modifiers that make wet clutches slip and has a robust additive package to combat acid formation from burning diesel fuel.  All these things are great for air-cooled bikes too.  I'm not recommending this brand over any other, but it's on sale and it was recommended by many here and they were right!

Awesome deal I've been running this the last 2 years and have no complaints except for times when I overfill and have to drain off a little because of hard shifting. I usually get it at walmart for ~$11.60 a gallon.
