I now get a sharp whistle with the visor down for any speed greater than 25mph. I know it's the seal between the visor and the helmet. If I barely press the mask onto the helmet the sound stops. Anyway to restore the seal?

I have seen people use electrical tape to stop whistles like you are having, use half the tape and run it along the edge of the face shield to help the shield contact the seal.  My old helmet whistled and that is how i made it stop.  You will have to reapply tape as it falls off but that was a small price to pay for my sanity before I got a new helmet.

What brand of helmet is it?  My HJC has "adjustable" base plates to adjust for that.  Not that it works completely, but maybe there is something there....

Seriously? even un crashed helmets have a 3-5 year service life. If it's old enough that seals are drying out it's probably old enough to need replaced. Most helmet manufacturers will sell a gasket kit as well.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

If I remember right, and am not just making this up.... my Arai came with a little bottle of clear oil just to keep that gasket from drying out. Try rubbing something on the gasket and let it soak in for a day or two. Make sure you wipe it off when you're done otherwise it gets all over your visor.
