Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Where are you now Johan? Northside is the best side  :thumb:

And I know because I grew up on the south side...  :whisper:

Kangaroo Point at the moment, enjoying being nice and central :)

Central? Well now you've gone and done it.

Someone give me a bird I can karate chop to death.....

As long as it's a magpie I'm all for animal homicide.

peteGS

Hahahahaha oh geez what did I start!!!???

As for north/south... Gold Coast isn't Brissie so isn't south  :thumb:

As for Ipswich... now there's a whole other story altogether that I ain't touching... but it's also not Brissie so isn't west  ;)

Not quite as nice as the view from the Pitstop cafe on Mt Mee, imo. I'd put up a picture if I wasn't suffering from some serious heat-induced laziness today.....

Pic doesn't do it justic. Come along a QMF ride and see it with your eyes Then make a judgement.

I spent yesterday morning melting while assembling Ikea furniture... then the avo in the pool and spa with icy cold beer... then scotch and pepsi max... then a sleepless night tossing and turning coz it was too damn hot to sleep!

Anyway, AussieChick I'll save you the effort, here's some pic's I took a while back at the Pitstop cafe on Mt Mee:

And of course best visited on Suzukis...

I really would like to get out on a QMF ride though, the falls look quite spectacular!

I was making my judgement based on comparing pictures, because pictures usually don't do anything justice....

I would love come along one day though! I need to ride more.

By the way you lot... the GSR and Kat forums are going to have set ride dates for big day rides from now on... first Saturday in Autumn and Spring (March/September) and first Sunday in Winter and Summer (June/December).

GS Twins riders are officially welcome to join in as participants...

Typically it'll be a 7am meet for 7:30am departure, but the very first one will be Saturday March 2nd and will be a 6am meet for 6:30am departure at the Shell servo at Rocklea, corner Granard and Beatty Rds.

That one will be an odd day out because we'll be joining with the Katana Australia State of Origin meet's first leg of their journey to Armidale. For those like me that can't make the whole weekend we'll be joining for the first leg which will stop in Ballina, and then be taking some twisties back to Brisbane. At least I hope to be there anyway...

Anyone keen to either ride with the guys to Ballina or meet up with me down there and show me some fun twisties back through the hinterland etc.? Surely Cods and Mister will be into that! Might be more than me coming back but not sure yet.

March 2nd is a bit far off forme to commit at the mo.

peteGS

No worries mate, will stick a reminder in closer to the day. These dates are set now for GSR and Kat rides too, first Saturday March/September, first Sunday June/December.

Just coz you're gonna be lyin' around all day resting? Lame excuse  :icon_razz:

Seriously, that's one huge bummer and I'm hopeful you can make one of the other ones instead later in the year :thumb:

Went for a ride up Glorious today. As I was heading up the mountain I was passed in the opposite direction by a group of cruisers. A few seconds later a guy with hardly any gear on a Huyabusa passed me and I remember thinking " Geesh... Hope you don't come off buddy" I get to the lookout turn around and head down again. As I round the bend just before the Cedar Flats I see the hayabusa, one of the cruisers and the riders on the road. Apparently the busa rider collected the cruiser through a sharp bend. So yeh... Gear up and take care out there. Also about half way up the mountain where the 20km signed corners are there is an oil spill and gravel on one of the bends heading down. It's visible so if you're heading down be careful.

peteGS

I try not to go up Nebo/Glorious too often, too much shaZam! like that going on. Hope he's ok regardless, but I wish people would gear up!

Working stupid o'clock Tuesday morning so I'm hoping for a snooze after work and then try to get out for a ride if this nice weather keeps up... not sure where to yet but see what happens... knowing my luck it'll be pouring with rain...

Glorious/Nebo is perfect to do on weekdays when all the dickheads and Sunday drivers are at work. I got tomorrow off so I'll probably do a run up there tomorrow. It's a pity it's the only decent place to ride close by where I don't have to ride for an hour to get there.

peteGS

Yes, true... weekdays aren't bad up there but I don't get to do too many weekday rides. Having said that I might be doing one tomorrow. Whereabouts are you? I've got some fun roads near me that are much closer than Nebo/Glorious, heading north from Keperra towards Strathpine etc.

Also, the run in March has had a slight route change, now heading to Rathdowney, then Kyogle and Casino.
