Hey everyone.  I've been a member for a while but haven't posted anything because my knowledge does NOT compare.  I have however learned a lot and applied those lessons to my bike when modding it - so thanks!  Unfortunately I now have to sell the bike.

The info on it is as follows:

2008 F - model, black and silver.

Total Mileage: ~11,000.

All service has been performed when necessary including chain lubing, oil/filter replacements, tires etc.  The bike has NEVER been stunted, red-lined, wheelied, or anything stupid like that.  Most of the miles were freeway but some canyon riding.

Regarding minor upgrades, I've done the following:

Replaced the stock pegs with GSXR racing pegs, front and rear
Installed flush mount front turn signals
Installed carbon-fiber plated rear flush mount turn signals
Added a Pro-grip carbon fiber tank pad
Replaced the stock grips with pro-grip racing grips
Replaced the stock bar end weights with carbon-fiber plated spike bar ends
Replaced all front fairings
I recently installed "Ripped" graphics to give a meaner look.
I've added little "spikes" throughout the bike which are easily removable but look cool in my opinion.  Basically instead of the standard bolts holding the fairing together there's a bunch of bolts with spikes on them, again to make it look meaner.
I removed handle on the back seat and added more spikes to make it look cool but as with everything these can be removed and the stock stuff replaced.
Performed a "fenderectomy".

I have all the stock equipment still so if you desire to change anything that can be easily accommodated.

The big changes are the following:

Replaced the stock handlebars with custom made suburban machinery bars.  These give the rider a more committed position (like the race bikes) and make it easier to lean into turns.  The other benefit is that these are much more solid bars - the old ones would bend very easily.  Below is the website for suburban machinery.

Replaced the stock gauges with an Acewell 2703 integrated speedo/tachometer.  The old gauges would read 10-12% too high which did not fly with me so I got this, had it professionally installed and calibrated it so everything reads correctly.  Again, I have the old gauges still showing the mileage before the replacement (they read 9,400 – the current odometer is around 1,000).  Below is the link to the acewell site.

Replaced the tires at about 7,500 miles (as recommended) with Pirelli Sport Demon tires.

I use Kelly Blue Book for pricing everything; the link below sends you to my bike.

The price is roughly $4,000 as you can see.  The bike was laid down once at low speeds causing some cosmetic damage (no engine damage, it happened about 4,000 miles ago so obviously it still runs great and has no mechanical problems).  This is why I replaced all the fairings which cost ~$550; naturally that's a sunk cost to me and would not be passed on to the buyer.  Regardless, the fact that it has been laid down lowers the value a little bit, there is a scratch on the left engine guard but other than that it looks impeccable.  All the upgrades should about compensate for that, but to be fair though, I'm looking to let it go for $3,750.

I just paid the registration of $114, which makes the tags good till November 2010.  It will be due for an oil change/11,000 mile service soon so if someone can take it off my hands before that's due I'll ignore the $114 I just spent for the registration.

As far as pictures go, I apologize but I have no camera of my own so I need to borrow my sister's.  I'm thus going to be taking pictures and loading them up ASAP, but wanted to get the post made beforehand.  I would never expect anyone to make any deals without seeing pics first but if you are interested shoot me an e-mail at trumpet831@csu.fullerton.edu.

Last thing: because of all the scams now-a-days I'm only going to sell it in person for cash.  I live in OC, California so if you wanted to pick it up or something that's cool, or I'm willing to ride it somewhere and drop it off but I'm not going to deal with shipping.  Thanks!
