Yup, I ditched ATT and sadly my iphone with it. I couldn't be happier with verizons service and while not an iphone, the droid has some neat features that apple never allowed.

I never had any problems with verizon, until I moved into my current house, and can't get a signal in, or within 20 feet of my house. It's the most obnoxious thing I've ever dealt with. I wanted to stab that kid from all the Verizon commercials that's walking around in the jungle saying "can you hear me now?? good". NO I CAN'T HEAR YOU, MAYBE I SHOULD MOVE TO THE JUNGLE! because apparently my house inside the city isn't good enough for verizon's reception.

I ditched it for a house phone. Everyone thinks I'm crazy for not having a cell phone, but at least I have a phone that works now.

I had the same problem with ATT, everything is peachy with VZ so I'm ditching the landline now.

droid is lame, how many apps you got? how many does the iphone have? which is on the fastest network? iphone is.  AT&T has more than twice the number of people on smart phones than verizon...viva el iphone!

and for those that speak spanish....

el driod esta menso, cuantos apps tiene? cuantos tiene el iphone? cual esta en el red mas rapido? el iphone es.  AT&T tiene mas que doble de clientes que usan un smart phone que verizon...long live the iphone!

iPhone isn't a network :cookoo:  ATT is composed of a bunch of low life, whiney crooks. And lastly, Verizon actually has coverage worth a damn in my area, a claim ATT makes but does not deliver upon.  I've owned more Apple product than you would find in the average Pixar employees office and made a tidy little killing on their stock.  Don't preach to me about Apple.  Besides, why the fuch do I need 3500 different 'fart' applications?  The App store is an overzealous crackpot of idiocracy and their 'approval' methods are retarded.

here in Aus i am with Vodafone, my reception seems to be great except in some areas where i have to manually change it back to 2g capabilities to get a signal.

No matter where you go one Company has better coverage than the other.. Here in my area my ATT service blows Verizon away! But in Ohio where my wife is from Sprint kicks everyones ass..

They all claim to provide more coverage !!!  >:( To get the best coverage you would need ATT, SPRINT, and VERIZON

I never have any problems w/ AT&T here in Western PA and pretty much anywhere I travel in the US  :thumb:

+1 scott.  It just depends on your location.  In my area, ATT has crappy coverage and very little 3G.  I didn't even have a signal at my home and I live on a small resort island :cookoo:  With VZ I've had 3G everywhere I've been so far, it's been kind of odd not only being able to hold calls but surf the web in places I didn't even have a signal before.

Update on the phone: I've gotten a little more used to it and this thing is wickedly fast, youtube shows up crystal clear and un-pixelated like the iPhone shows.  Adobe is swearing up and down that 10.1 is coming very soon and I've gotten very used to having a home screen full of widgets set to exactly what I want.

I've been with Sprint for almost 10 years now and they treat me VERY well.  I have 2 cell phones, 1 PDA phone, 1 smart phone that does all kinds of cool shiznit.  I get 1500 minutes (which I never even come close to using), unlimited text, mobile 2 mobile, long distance, roaming, internet/web, GPS, and anything else cool that you can think of for myself and my wife for $105 a month after taxes and everything.  They treat me well and I could care less about the Network and all the other garbage that verizon pushes.  It makes me laugh that Verizon pushes the network because I get free roaming.  I just set my phone to a setting where it picks up the strongest signal and goes.  If Verizon wants to build more towers, let them because all its going to do is benefit me and the other cell phone users who use our free roaming.  Long live Spring!!! :D

Personally you couldn't give me either one of those POS's.

I use my nice old Razor and am very satisfied. I also use ATT/Cingular because Verizon in my area is as reliable as two cups and wax string! I used to travel a lot in the last 2 years and never had a single coverage issue ever with ATT/Cingular.

3g compared to 3g isnt really comparable.  3g means 3rd generation...3rd time to change network basically.  verizon is still on cdma which is maxed out and not as fast as att, att switched to gsm years back and has data running off the towers much faster than land line dsl in certain areas. sprint has the "4g" but where is it found? one city, and its slow still, its better than verizons 3g but att has simultaneous voice and data on the 3g and verizon does not...3g from verizon really isnt comparable to 3g from att, att is faster and may not cover as much but the 2g network from att is more like the 3g from verizon. and that is very much similar in coverage to verizon.  as att says, know the facts.  :thumb:

lets not forget the rollover minutes from att, you paid for 700 or 1400 or whatever you did, and you dont use it all...verizon would just say "you snooze you lose" att on the other had says, "you paid, they are yours" and also, verizon has the my circle dealy, att does too on the same minute plans...10 people on the family plan and 5 on a personal, and yes rollover still included. att runs the most data on their network than any other network in the world and has twice as many smartphone users than verizon.  you can also use your att cellphone over seas, no need to buy a "world" phone, your free phone will even work over seas.   :icon_mrgreen:
