If you need an extra set of hands, let me know.  I'm here in Ann Arbor, although I have a couple of kids & a couple of evening classes, so time isn't always my friend.

Instead of doing all that to my bike I plan to sell it and get an SV 650. That way I'll have something besides a $1,500 bike with $500 of upgrades, although a tricked out GS would be sweet.

but $2000 wont get you an Sv either. And the SV needs upgrading to suspension same as the GS. Then there's all the aftermarket stuff..and there's lots of it. For the price of a GS500 full exhaust system you *might* be able to buy a slip on. Otherwise a full Yosh system sets you back $800. Then there's the undertails, the snorkelectomy, the more expensive tires, etc. And you can be just like everyone else...if that's what you really want. if you like the v-twin thats the way to go, otherwise I was not as impressed as I expected to be (quite unimpressed actually).

I see where your comin from Pablo, but I want a just a little more bike underneath me, and I dont want an inline so I think the SV would suit me well.  I have the crap stock suspention on my GS and it still rides better than some bikes, dont get me wrong though I love my GS its a great bike.

Yep lights work great just took some time finding the right place to route the tach cable so it wasnt in a bind.
