Since i got a few weeks ago, cleaned carbs. (like brand new almost) New handle bars, new headlight, new air and oil filter, new rear sprocket (45) new chain (must be extended cause im dumb and got stock size) and sanded ready for paint. In the near future, - engine rebuild, install blinkers from harbor freight, powdercoat all kinds of small parts and possibly wheels depending on price (my buddies uncle does powder coating so geting me a deal) paint flat black with 2 skiny gold stripes. EDIT: and next week machine shop is doing my new single unit (speedo only) dash out of aluminum plate for free.  And im gonna do the frame in Rhino Liner (truck bed liner)

Taken with buddies phone...

Takin with my phone... :technical: :icon_sad:

I got my rear blinkers hooked up today, but what color are the front blinker wires?

bassmechanicsz

I am curious to see how the frame is going to turn out be rhino lined.  I am assuming you are just going with the standard black rhino lining.

that would be a correct aussumption. i was intrigued when i foud there were differant colors, but i want black.

Anyone have experience tapping bolt holes in a piece that has been rhino lined?  Just wondering how it compares to powder coating.

I dunno about tapping a hole in the rhino liner but it is some really tough stuff.  I just got the bed of my truck sprayed with it and it really can withstand a blow from a hammer with no marking

Update:

After new plugs and finally got a battery (ES14AA from wal-mart) I got my GS running good.  I rode it around the parking lot at tech for the first time finally.  I put my blinkers instalation on the hold the past couple days because my teacher gave me some CODE 3 police LEDs that can be turned on to solid amber (for blinkers) or i can switch it over to red and blue (to pull over my friends  :icon_twisted:)  He gave me three units, two of them are blue and amber, and the other is red and amber.  I want to hook them up as blinkers but am having trouble figureing where to mount them.  Theyre about 5 inches buy 1 1/2 inches by 3/4 inch tall.  I was thinking one blue/amber on the left rear peg stalk, and one red/amber on the right rear peg stalk.  But i also really want them to face foward so i can flash em at my friends (in the school parking lot only of course  :icon_mrgreen:)  Anyone got an idea as where to mount them in the front?

werase643

um, where ever they fit
an you can mount them
want Iain's money to support my butt in kens shop

Got my Red and Blue and Amber Code 3s on today!  Hook up them up for the amber blinkers now, tommarow gonna add the on/off switch which strobes the Red and Blue LEDs, and the toggle switch that changes the strobe pattern.

In today's news, a man on a motorcycle gets arrested for impersonating an officer of the law . . .  . .

are you making a joke saying i will be arrested, or saying what a coincidence? either way its completely legal what im doing, because when the lights are off there is no color. You can not show red or blue in front of your vehicle. but since these are clear LEDs, its legit. and they as are my Amber LED blinkers. and im hooking up my CODE 3 police siren box once i find a spot. which is also legal.

lawman

Where is your source for that being legal?   A security company here got in trouble for having cop-type cars with red and blue lights...  You should make sure of that.  Depending on where you are, impersonating a police officer may be a felony.

redhenracing2

Yeah it was just a joke. I know its illegal to actually use them, so I guess if you want them just for novelty purposes thats cool.  :thumb:
