The economy is so bad that Exxon-Mobil laid off 25 U.S. Congressmen.

In Cricket the testicular guard, or Box, was introduced in 1874. The helmet was introduced in 1974. Is there a message??

LOL!!  Good one!  Now all we need to do is vote-out everyone else who's in the pockets of billion-dollar interests.  That'll leave about 50 of them I'd guess.

voting won't work now that companies can essentiall "buy" candidates. Although, i can see where the Supreme Court sits on the issue, they are to merely "interpret the law and or decide Constitutionality of the law". so i suppose our problem lies with the law. funny thing is, only ones who have the "power" to change the law are the very lawmakers we wish to remove. sounds like a catch 22. f%$k it, just hang em.

I feel much the same way but don't give-up and think the people don't still have the power.  We do, we just don't use it often enough because many of us are too busy enjoying the good lives we have in America.  There have been several examples just in recent years when the gov't wanted to do something that was very unpopular and enough people spoke-up to stop it.  If I'm wrong the government would have been running our health care system since 1994, (ask Canadians with serious illnesses how well that works)  Dubai would be running our ports today, and millions of illegal aliens would now be legal.

Having said that, I acknowledge that it's easier to stop the gov't from doing something unpopular than to get it to do something that is popular, like opening-up the health insurance industry nationwide to increase competition and choice, decreasing cost, and limiting jury awards that would sharply reduce malpractice insurance costs, reducing medical costs to the public further.  None of that was in the latest health care bills, by the way.  An astute person recognizes that this is evidence that the gov't is not your friend.  In this case the democrat majority is in the pockets of the insurance companies, trial lawyers, and drug companies.  If the latest bill passed, none of these interests would be harmed, only doctors and the general public.
