I'm looking for a USD FE Swap that'll give me dual brakes up front.  This is not an add to buy, although if a reputable person had something I'd deff be interested.  I am asking for advice on whats an easyish swap.  Obviously it'll need a new trip tree, but maybe someone on here knows of a place where they make custom trips for the GS in like 47mm or something like that for a reasonable price.  Thanks in advance.

Not sure what the acronym USD stands for but if you just want dual front discs a CBR 600 F1 Hurricane front end slips into the stock GS triple clamps.  You can't use the stock GS handle bars though unless you want the front end sitting really high.  The easiest solution is to run the CBR clip ons.

Any f/e can be made to work. The stem is the biggest obstacle to overcome...and that is not too difficult. A GSXR can be turned to fit and a Katana can use a donor stem from a GS, the two that I have done several times.

The biggest problem swapping stems is using a steel stem in an aluminum triple clamp. From my experience, the steel stem is 0.5mm smaller in diameter that the hole in the aluminum lower clamp. Custom triples are not needed and would be very expensive.

Not a USD... but the Kat swap is easy to do, especially if you get pressed-in stems... press them out, swap and press them back together. Even if the Kat stem is welded, I have ground out the weld and used a pressed-in stem from a donor GS and then welded it back together. The other issues are the steering stops, headlight and gages mounting. The GS wheel can be used with a 90-97 Kat f/e; others will need the wheel from the donor.

USD = Up Side Down
Common sense in not very common.

just google for tubes that are the same mm as the gs tubes., or search on here for direct bolt on tubes if thats what you want.  like he said the cbr tubes bolt right in and theres probably more

USD is for "upside down", so he's looking for the forks you see on newer bikes where the bigger part is on top.

If you're gonna swap an entire front end it doesn't really matter too much, the only thing you're gonna have to do is find a stem for it that fits the GS frame and maybe some spacers. If I was doing it I'd probably just stick to a Suzuki front end. Chances of it going on the smoothest are the best.

easiest swap would be 90-95 GSXR 750 complete h-bars to tire
file or machine(extend)  the top race about 1 in down and add spacers above the brg

yadda yadda yadda in steering stops and headlight

want Iain's money to support my butt in kens shop
