I just went through some regulator rectifiers but still dont understand what my problem is so il give it another shot
okay so b4 the tacho right i ride whenever i turn on indicators my lights wud go dim evrytime they blink , or whenever i rev my headlights wud go brighter, is it battery?

So the bike was normal before i have installed the monster tacho wit a shiftlight , after i installed it of course the bike was left on for a bit to check if wires were connected right and battery went flat during that time had to do many push starts as i thoguht the battery wudve been charged after starting it up , but kept going flat after starting it up , i did think for a moment that it was weird that i only left the ignition on for like 5 seconds and the battery kept going flat but then after it was done i went for a ride and came home and double checked it was fine, next morning started it up normal went for ride turned off the engine , came back to it maybe 40 minutes after turned on fine rode it again for maybe 15 -20 minutes , came back turned it off was parked bad angle tried to turn it back on 30 seconds after... it gave a that bzzz soudn when ur battery is flat and the starter trying to start , then i left it ther went away for maybe 10 minutes came back tried to start it it was fine o.o wat the hell? lol this keeps happening i wud ride turn it off start normal then ride home leave it next morning flat battery sometimes next morning it will start ,  also i jst double checked today wit my friend who sold me the bike said he bought a new battery for 90$ b4 he sold it to me and i have the receipt lol that i jst found , also i didnt solder the wires together from the tacho , cud it be my tacho is draining battery? this morning i push started it left it on 3-4 k revs for about 2 -3 minutes from choke left it idling for 5-10 minutes turned it off and tried to turn it on FLAT? what could it be? i still yet to check my battery and i dont know wher to check it in australia but would this be a 100% battery problem or could it be something else ?

Wait hmm my bike fired up in like 1 second always b4 i installed the tacho and it never went flat Lol forgot to add that

FFS Remo,

Take yourself outside and give yourself a nice big upper cut, will ya.  :thumb:

Then once you've done that, go to a mechanic, any mechanic workshop - heck, call the darn NRMA and ask them to come check your battery (you are a member, right?) shaZam!, save your legs. Open the Yellow Pages and let your fingers do the walk'n.

Piss off that monster tach. It looks stupid on the bike. I'm sure your friends all think it's rock'n. But it's not. Maybe on your Subaru or whatever "hot" car is the in thing for show offs these days - besides V8s.

Just cause a battery is new doesn't mean jack. It could die in a month no problems. And seeing as Mr Nobody dropped your bike maybe the battery is damaged. HA and LOL and stuff, I bet, if it's a water filled battery - you haven't check the levels have you?

Do you have a battery charger? Didn't think so. Get one. Unscrew the water filling caps on the battery and start charging. After a while come back and see if all cells are bubbling. They're not? Then the battery is toast.

Endlessly posting, "my bike wont start after I installed tacho" and not taking advice to check battery, will NOT fix your problem. Go get the battery checked first. *I* would go back to stock tacho as well. BUt you want it, then keep it and slowly work through the issues - check battery first.

Have you had your battery checked?

Double check all the wiring on the (pointless?) shifter light tacho (do you really need a light to tell you when to shift?) maybe you got a bad connection drainging something somewhere?

To Mr Mister , yes i checked water lvl its never gone below LOWER LEVEL line  :thumb:  dont ened to check the battery , jst got a new one and yea i got rid of the monster tacho  and shift light , wasnt used to riding without the shift light =[ it use to tell me when to shift now i usualy go pass 5k rev to 7k and still ride on 7k  =[ lol shift light was helpful cause once it hits 5k iw udnt want it to light up for too long x.x

so i changed my battery today chucked in a cbr 250rr dash board cut open gs500 tachos and swapped wit 250 so i jst used the case looks awesome  :thumb:  so after swapping battery i tried to start it right away had to wait about 2 seconds until it fired up   :dunno_black: is ther a problem wit that? turned it off started right up again , but wit some like hmm... chugs donno how to explain the sound dammit lol like the engine was about to turn on but then jst died ? something like that , and then pressed it again it fired :S Lol thought it was jst u noe new battery might need some time to kick in :S rode up the road for 2 minutes , off ate a chicken roll took maybe 20 minutes - 30 minutes , started right up , went home lubed my chain , and other stuff took about 1 hour? tried to start... nothing ... had to push start ... thoght didnt thnk much of it maybe battery is like i donno new? :S Lol rode off for 20 minutes petrol station, off for 5 minutes fired up but took longer then it usually does.. usually takes bout .5-1 secon then wasl ike 2 seconds lol , rode off to c a friend parked for 10 minutes started fired up again , rode off for maybe... 15 minutes stopped for only 5 minutes, tried to turn it on , it felt like it was gonna start then die , then after 2 tries, battery went Dead that bzzz sound, pushed started it rode hom straight away , is there a problem wit my starter relay ? or alternator? :S is it not charging the battery properly , ? is it still my battery ?? is it possible to have bad regulator rectifier and still drive? :S i read somewhere when ur reg / rec is broken u cant ride ur bike  :dunno_black: :dunno_black:

okay also shaZam! sorry i started the bike , and was moving out of my drive way slowly , pushed the stsrated button TWICE and it died, it didnt do that BZZZZ sound like itsm eant to , BUT It did the soudn wher the engine was turning on after u push the starter u noe wat i mean? that sure was wierd to me , its never done that , after that happened.. bike died and wudnt start up... i think thats when i had to push start when i was leaving home  i dont have the  money to go to a mechanic for this, and of course its not a big problem if the bike still works , i am relying on gstwin to help me =] and learn my self i love bikes i want to be a mechanic in the future , rather learn myself then go to a mechanic =/ that might be dodgy ... or end up having a little problem and paying 100$+ , when i first got the bike, didnt noe wher fuse n shaZam! were , indicators were loose, touching the frame, and it blew my fuse , lol thought hey shaZam! bikes fkt up .... =/ better go mechanics lol ened up paying 60$ for towing , 60$ for replacing af use and plugging in a indicator  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

could it be a ALMOST snapped clutch cable be the problem? its got like   maybe ... 5  strands left ? LOL very little =[.. could i have done something wrong while connecting the wires of the monster tacho? cause i remember i only connected the monster and i wanted to see if it was working i started it up and it did a bad noise.... but it started up ... i think the noly thing connected was the tacho , and the neutral turn signals and high beam n oil plights , plus all i did was wrap the wires of the tacho arodnu the gs500 RING thing at th end of the wire, :dunno_black: :dunno_black: :dunno_black:
im not very good wit electric stuff lol

remo2k9

what is your start-up procedure?
turn ignition to on > fully engage choke > pull in the clutch > make sure kill switch is NOT engaged > make sure bike is NOT in gear > hit starter button.
sometimes it takes a few turn for the motor to run. sometimes it doesnt. if you barely tap the starter button, than it will barely catch. hold the starter button just a few seconds, long enough to actually start the bike.
if your bike isnt starting, check the plugs again. check the fuel system. check everything. even things that dont "need" to be checked. new doesnt mean it's not defective.

Are you using the choke?

your still running NO AIR FILTER aren't you.  your bike is so lean that once its warmed up you cant get enough gas into your air fuel mixture to fire it.
