Chain length and 15 tooth sprocket

Hi,
I just changed my front sprocket to the 15 tooth from the 16 tooth.  I replaced my chain and cut it to 110 links.  The chain calculator says 109 for the new sprocket, but I don't have half links and it seemed 108 was too short.  Now that I've ridden it, it seems to have loosened up a bit and I need to slide my rear wheel back a little more.  This leaves me just a little ahead of the second to last adjustment mark.  It seems like as it wears, there won't be enough adjustment room to move the rear wheel back.  Should I try to shorten it to 108 now, wait a bit for the pins to wear, or not worry?  Anyone comment with their experience?

Thanks!

If you can recut it to 108 now and have it fit (clearly you should check before you cut), I'd do so. Otherwise, just take out a link when you run out of adjustment.

I ran my 15T front sprockets on my 97 GS with a standard 110 link chain.  The change from 16T to 15T front only moves the axle back about 5/32".  If you run out of adjustment your chain is worn out and you need a new chain.

Yeah, I ran the 110 chain with my 15 tooth sprocket too.
