Can I just braze this, or should I get it welded?

the mole

Are you kidding or what? No way you're gonna fix that without high quality duct tape. Black.

Homer

Stop being so mean to me all the time, Mole.
I asked a serious question.

Hey!  My top piece looks like that, too!

But, it's stuck in the heavy part with the fins that get so hot.  If I get it out, my cousin says he can weld it and sand the round thing smooth.  He works at a shop.  He said to use the sinthetec oil next time.  Its pretty dang expensive.

Syzygy

Just hit it with the metal thing, it'll be fine.

Don't worry about it. You don't need it anyways  :thumb: It just adds weight to the bike slowing it down.

But really can I just leave it out?
If I put a bolt in instead of the spark plug on that side.
Could I just fill the whole with JB weld?
Its alot liter anyway.

If it cuts my horse power in half thats not so bad.  I can live with that.  Its not as fast as my cousins bike anyway.  I just want to learn how to put my knee down.
He cant do that and I want to do it.

Believe it or not, a harley can lost that rear cyl and still work. I have heard of a sportster where the rear cyl was removed and blocked off wiht a wooden plate. No rod, no cyl, no head no cam, no nothing. A 1 cyl. Google it, you may find it, it was supposedly very common mod in the old days.
Cool.

You'll have to remove the flywheel from that side and regrind the counterbalancer to make it work without having to rebuild the motor every year from having to replace the crankshaft bearings, becasue the crank will be so out of ballance.  But other than that, bending a rod is like adding cc's.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

good judgement trumps good skills every time.

Holy crap how did your handlebars get bent like that?

I wouldn't try to weld them because you can get a new set way cheaper than $400.

Your cousin is a jerk for trying to rip you off and I hate him.

HAHAHAHA

Regular Buells use Harley motors-
Buell Blast uses a single cyl motor from a Husquvarna
