Yes, that's what it means.  And "reserve" requires vacuum to operate, just like "on".

if it only happens on "ON" maybe you can check the tank petcock for blockage/debris? the PRI and RES use the same nipple off the tank petcock but ON uses its own path. if RES and PRI work fine, but ON doesnt. i'd say check the tank petcock.

and check the hoses for blockage too?
rustbucket on wheels that go vroom vroom and stuff.

Questions I am still not clear about:

1] Reserve setting works?

2] Prime setting works?

3] On setting is where the problem is?

lol no I had literally just filled about 40 miles before that

4] How much gas did you put in when you filled it?

5] Did you drain ALL of the old gas and SeaFoam out?

6] What is the farthest distance you have gone without putting gas in?

If you haven't been able to go more than 50 or 60 miles without adding gas, I would still think you have bad gas / water in the tank.

(By the way, Seafoam is a good cleaner, but not a good gas preserver for storage purposes.)

1. right now everything works I did not test reserve when it did it
2. Prime woks
3. only one i was able to test
4.it was full like 3.24 ga according to slip mind you it had some left when i filled
5. all gas had been out
6. 214 miles and that is this cause i haven't had it long enough besides one fill up

Yesterday for the first time I got this fuel starvation problem on the freeway going 130kmh,

it died down and prime didn't work, luckily some nice man pulled over with a van and gave me a lift home  :thumb:

well apparently my problem is fixed. I found a vacuum line that was like slightly pinched.  and please correct me if i am wrong but i am guess that the vacuum line being pinched slightly cause the lack of adequate fuel to be getting to the bowl for the speed because fuel consumption increases with speed But that is my guess? any thoughts?

ok so i guess i lied it died again yesterday and now i am completely now lost so crap lol

I've found it possible to squash the petcock-carb fuel line with the airbox if hoses cross under it. Should affect pri as well I guess, but still worth looking at?
