Here's the latest edition (May 2010) of the annual motorcycle trip my brother and I take with our dad.  We're amazingly lucky to have a dad in such great health who shares an interest in motorcycles!  This year we toured the Ozarks of North Central Arkansas.  We camped most of the time, but stayed in motels a few nights due to the threat of severe weather, which can be really serious in this part of the year.

2010 Trip Link

Sorry, I was not on the GS500 this time.  I took it for the first two trips, but I have been taking the 1982 Suzuki GS1100E on road trips the last two years.

Earlier trips are linked from here:

Sorry, BP!

In my defense, that was at the tail end of the trip and it was raining.

What I left out of the official page was that one of the days after our ride, my dad was tired and my brother and I still felt like riding.  We were staying about 20 miles from the south end of Push Mountain Road, so we went for another ride on it.  This time, we bumped up our traveling speed quite a bit.  My brother is a wild man, and I tried to keep up.  Strangely enough, I did!  The GS1100E is a great handling bike, and it has plenty of power.  By that time of the trip I had plenty of confidence in the bike and was able to ride pretty smoothly.  It was a hoot!

Thanks!  If you want a higher-resolution version of that pic, let me know.  I had to stop in the middle of uploading all my pics and shrink the crap out of my pics.  I'm out of free space from my ISP.   :technical:

I have to tell you that touring on the bike is like crack.  One trip and you're hooked.  Seriously.

No wukers mate, just busting your chops anyway. Working full time plus running a part time business is demanding on the time anymore, I shoot more than I ride now since I can fit a match into a 1/2 a day on the weekend and still mow a couple of yards, if I go rirding it's an all day event and blows my time to do yards.
