The mascot of the GS500.. The creature that's got the biggest ugliest a$$ of them all.
A wombat. It's got a big ugly a$$ too.

Welcome, Steve!   Have fun with your bike.  We're here to help.  Use this forum before the jamoke down the road to fix your bike.  You'll save money, headaches, and learn a lot along the way.  I've learned a lot along the way but there's still so much more to learn.  Get a service manual if you don't have one already.  Clymer is said to be the best.  I have a Haynes that came with the bike.

I tell new riders the same things... don't let your friends goad you into doing risky things you're not comfortable with and WATCH OUT FOR THE LADY IN THE MINIVAN TALKING ON THE PHONE WHO'S ABOUT TO TURN IN FRONT OF YOU!!  :2guns:  That's why I do everything I can to keep empty space around me, especially in front of me.  I MUST NOT LET HER KILL ME.
