Looks like this would be the forum for me now i just bought a 95 gs500e after selling my Yamaha xj650. although im a noob to this site im no noob when it comes to repair. i like to do all of my own work on the bkie and seeing how this one has only 2 carbs it should be real  fast and easy. one big question though is there any big or outstanding problems with this model of bike/ i see that the vacuum system for the fuel is not that great anything else i should know. pics will be coming soon for the bike i got it at a steal

i think most of the problems people run into are carb-related or petcock related.  that's really about it.  motors are pretty solid, but pretty much ALL of them burn oil.
