For sale in the Washington/Baltimore/Lancaster area. A 2009 GS500F with less than 1000 miles. Initial service performed at the dealer at 600 miles. Bike tipped over on soft ground the day after purchase, pushing the left turn signal through the fairing. Turn signal remounted, but there are several small cracks in fairing around turn signal. Bike dropped twice on right side in 1-2 mph "crashes", again in yard. Scratches on chrome exhaust cover and crank case cover. Minor scratches on bar end weights and mirrors. Estimate about $500 in parts to restore to perfect cosmetic condition. Bike has not been abused and is in perfect mechanical condition. Pictures and additional info on request.

Edit :  Not purposely abused, in other words, break-in procedures religiously observed - max 5500rpm 1st 600 miles, varying speeds - haven't exceeded 8000 rpm. I do have an "interesting yard" and driveway and relearned balance and slow speed manuvering on this bike - the hard way. Note: I picked up a GSX650F last week. It has a much heavier feel to it a super low speed. I'd have probably dropped that bike 4 or 5 times had it been my first.S

HEHE. It's funny you mention the drops and then put this. Regardless though parts are pretty inexpensive and obtaining an 09 at this level of price is great deal. Good luck with the sale because someone is going to get a nice bike :)

You didn't happen to pick up that red GSX650F that was on craigslist for $3000 in PA last week did ya?

I just "discovered" craigslist when I decided to put the GS500 on sale. Some great deals to be had. My new GS650 is an 08 leftover from the dealer. Having purchased the GS500 and an ER-6n from them, they knocked off a few hundred from the sale price on the GSX. Still I paid over $6500 out the door - prep, sales tax, tags, etc.

Here's my current lineup:

If no one wants to purchase my GS500F, I won't be that unhappy. Except for engine power, it more than holds its own and is a pure blast to ride.
