Solution to my locked motor? check out this bike I wanna get

For those who don't remember my post, my GS motor locked up.  This is an alternative I'm considering (replacing my motor with this one)

-I'm thinking about getting this bike to use the motor?

That unknown mileage is kind of un nerving. If you did a meticulous rebuild, I say go for it. I bet it would have quite a few net pieces to put on your every day GS.

I would try to identify what part of your engine locked up. Maybe you can repair your engine fairly cheap with engine parts from the racebike. I wouldn't use the complete engine of the racebike, it's obviously trashed for a couple of years. However, I would still buy that bike, for 500 $ you get a complete engine, nice exhaust and a lot of spare parts for your GS.

If you do buy it, I'd be interested in buying the steering dampener if you wanted to part some of the spares.
