Well here is my test if the Sony action cam touted as the go pro killer. What do you guys think?

Slips, you have 'the sound'!
When you pull into the gas station at 1:30 I heard it.  What do you think that is?
Here are a few threads that talk about it.

He's not riding his GS500 in that video, so I don't think he can help.  I had the same noise start after replacing my fork seals once.  I replaced them again recently and I think it went away.  Must have to do with how the spring and/or associated parts are sitting inside the fork.  I have progressive springs and 7/8" metal fabricated spacers.

That's vibration noises etc that the mic picks up its a BMW f800r.

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

That's all mine sounded like a few months ago and now it's more prevalent.  Faired and non- faired bikes have reported it.  Listen for it when you ride slowly over bumps... That specific sound is not typical vibration noises.  I think it's from the fork dust seals getting harder and dried over time and creating stiction on the forks as they try to slide up and down.  In time it will create hesitation on the front end and make for a bumpier ride.  It's much more important in motor cross but I'd imagine it can make a difference in handling through twisties.

She's a brand spanker so I doubt it but thanks for the eagle eye, or eagle ear in this case

Changed Juniors rear end. Took off the Gimbel seat so I can fix some seat material coming loose, buff it and apply a fresh coat of clear (SprayMax 2k) to get him ready for the show in December.

This tail goes so well with the fairing that I might get another of the smaller Gimbel solo seats (like on Phenix) and paint it to match for the show. The gel seat just looks out of place. (I gave in: I just ordered the Gimbel seat. Hope it gets here fast so I can paint it and have time for the paint to cure.)

Been sorting out bolts, nuts and all the parts that have been scattered. I guess I have been doing a lot of "job placement testing"? I think I passed. Getting ready for the winter bike builds.

OK - put Phenix's seat on then photoshopped different colors on the seat. Me thinks I like this!

Looking at alternate detailing on the tail of the seat using PhotoShop (And yes - ordered another seat for Junior. Now have to order paints from Colorrite)

I'm liking this tail plastics and seat better that what I had before. The other seat is in the background on the left. It is cool. I think the addition of the fairing made the seat change a natural.

I think I like the one in the background better?

So...... does that mean since I'm changing seats on Junior you want the one I took off?  NO WAY Jose`.  :flipoff:

The fun of being a parts whore is you can change your bike in minutes and feel like you have a new bike!
Having more than one bike - it REALLY confuses friends when I change the appearance of one. They think I bought another one!

Haha no! I reckon Junior looks better with the other one on him.

Synchronized the carbs and pulled the idle mix back a half turn. The bike will actually idle below 2000 RPM now, but it still pops every now and then at idle and a good amount when decelerating. I'll give the idle screw another quarter turn and hopefully it'll be good to go.

Got the V&H's exhaust, bar end mirrors, CRF250 petcock  and a couple fresh plugs installed today. Those were that last few bits. Can't wait for Sunday. This thing is gonna be a blast. Then, it goes to the wife since it is her scoot.

ThatOtherGuy

Rode home my wife's new bike (Intruder VL250), promptly fitted an MRA Highway Shield to it, wind buffet on the freeway was horrendous (MRA came from my GS500 naked), Narva Ice Blue Head Light bulb (much more distinct and whiter) and LED tail/brake light bulb (again sharper and more distinct).  Next to come are are T10 dash globes to make it easier to see them in daylight.  If I can convince her, the spare drag bars will go on as well.

WHERE ARE THE GODDAM PICS? ;)

Yep pictures tonight, got home in the dark yesterday and ThatOtherGirl was upset about how late I was already.

Rode Junior to Backfire Moto tonight.
Found this on him:

It is an invite to display him at the International Motorcycle Show. Although I had already sent in a picture, it was a very rewarding sight to see they had picked Junior to display while walking around all that 500 bikes. I saw that card on maybe 6 other bikes. That really made me smile! Junior being selected to be on display!  :woohoo:  How rewarding to have someone appreciate all my work and want to have Junior be displayed at the 3 day International Motorcycle Show Dec 14-16. What could be any better than that?

I saw how to nickle plate your gas tank:

That's awesome Patrick :D
