There's been a lot of TLC for my bike, new chain (the last one snapped in half while I was riding, but no crash), new spark plugs, and finally did the valve adjustment! She's working like when I first bought her!
Previous bikes: 2002 Ninja 250R
2009 Suzuki GS500F (rest in peace)
Current bike: 2007 Kawasaki ZX-10R

Finally got round to that nasty front end spring rate, now rocking some .90kg/mm racetech's, 15w oil and new seals, also have some emulators on the way over (got a good price with the springs) and will be looking at a new rear shock soon enough after mine blew out on me going through basket rangers (google search "basket ranges adelaide hills" for a look) and had to limp it home and order an OEM

will also be after some new Tyres as the pirelli diablo rosso II's have just about squared off now.... beautiful in the twisties but cant hack the day to day straight stuff.... looking at some sport daemons unless theirs a new go to?

also HI all been a while ay
You can run, but you'll only die tired.
If you hit it with a hammer and it doesn't fix it, you have an electrical problem

The sport demons also square off relatively quickly in the back.  I'm going to the Michelin Street Radials next time.

Pulled the front wheel and forks. The forks are still perfectly straight after my off a while back. Went ahead and drained them and pulled out the cartridge emulators. I had wanted to stiffen up the damping a bit. So I swapped from the medium (yellow) springs to the stiff (blue) springs, run with 2 turns of preload. I also ordered some 20 weight oil to replace the 15 I had been running. She'll be on the stand until next weekend at the earliest, when the new oil arrives. Also pulled off the barely bent bar and threw on a new one. Trying out the "mini" bend from Fly Racing this time. I haven't reinstalled the controls yet, but when I do I'm not going to put the heated grips back on. They will soon be transferred to my KLR-650.

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

Started it.... was grumpy as hell after sitting for almost a year with 3monthly starts fir few mins..... sighed and drained tank.... put 6 litre regular 95 fuel in, then it was a little blue smoky and still grumpy... but smoothed out a little.....
Full choke ok, half choke hunts between 2-3k, no choke dies unless I rev as drop choke lever.... when lower throttle is shaky till 2k then dies like kill switch has been flipped....

Finally it's time for either just carb cleaner in fuel (but not expecting miracles) OR pull the carbs and "learn" how to dismantle/clean/reassemble the bloody things...... I hate learning on fiddly things! Lol

Re-routed choke, throttle and clutch cables under the crossmember of the frame. Cleaned up the threads on the rear master cylinder and replaced all bolts with stainless in the process. Also upgraded springs to sonic .85

Stalled it while on that really dark part of whatever roadway that connects 440 in Jersey City to the 1/9 in Elizabeth and goes over/through Kearny in the wee hours of the night/morning.

I've always sort of feared stalling while on that stretch. Things tend to go 20 miles above the posted limit there...

I rode my bike to work today! I'm a new rider so this was only my 3rd day riding to work after about a week of feeling out the bike on some empty roads/extremely light traffic days in town.

Added a cup holder.

:D

Despite the cold ride in to work this morning (45 deg when I left) the thermal mug kept my coffee warm and fits in the holder perfectly.

I was able to grab a few sips at stop lights. It takes away another advantage my car had over the bike for my commute.

Even though you probably have a flip up or open helmet, I can just imagine a straw sticking out of your mug as you ride.  :D

I hope to make some progress on my build in the next few days. I'm getting far to anxious.
