Pretty sure I responded to your thread that I was interested.  Figured you had dropped the idea and picked up the goods on my own.  Sorry dude.    :dunno_black:

Its cool. Im not mad about it because Im going to do my own. Youre ahead of me in the process anyway. I so focused on other things right now anyway. One of those things is wrapping all my fairings in Dennis Avery chrome vinyl. Ive got too many projects. But your retrofit is looking great so far.

Chrome vinyl wrap? That'd look awesome. :thumb: :thumb: What Tint of chrome would it be?

Silver chrome. I have another set of fairings I will likely do later and swap them out as desired. But that chrome Dennis Avery is NOT cheap. Its going to run me 300-400 in materials. I do a lot of vinyl wraps although mainly in various carbon fibers. This chrome will be a first but I expect it to look killer.

Wrapping - brilliant.  I've been thinking of respraying the gs for a few months now.  Wrapping would probably end up being cheaper and let me go back to stock if I want (big plus for me).  Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Can someone post a pic of this "high beam flasher" button?

I have no idea what you all are talking about.

USA models do not have it, though other Suzuki bikes most have it.
I swapped the sun bleached left hand control with a fresh one from the UK. They are plug compatible. Look in the Haynes manual wiring diagrams and you will see the passing switch in the non-USA diagrams.

Thanks Adidias, thats very cool. They look like they're off older bikes, older styling I mean. Is there a version that would match my '09?

Just finished installed my T-Rex frame sliders. Install could not have been easier. Added blue thread lock on all the bolts too. Also added washers inside the pass side slider to keep the end of the bolt away from the oil cap as was suggested.

This is what an 09 left side handlebar looks like...

It's from my 09 Australian model.

I do not know about the 04+  models. This one is a real GS500 control from the UK. Identical to ours except for the additional passing switch.
Some right hand controls from the UK have the headlight switch, where on ours it is covered and hard wired as on. That would be fun to use for auxiliary lighting or a hazard 4 way flasher switch.

Washed, dried and polished my bikes today.  Bandit is still dirty though, I like to have clean bikes and I mean really clean as in I wash inside the mudguards with a rag and turps clean.  Will take a couple of cleans to get the Bandit really clean as I use a toothbrush to get into all the corners.  That way if something goes wrong, I can spot a leak or whatever immediately.
