Mine used to do that and it was never a problem and afaik it was normal. If it bothers you then just change the flasher relay.

I stand behind the parts I sell, even though used. If I stood in front of them, they might explode and the shrapnel might give me an owie.

Carb sync using weedahoe method.

I did need 6" of 3/16 aquarium tubing around the vacuum barbs to get an accurate reading. Connected to the gauge hose with a universal style 'T'.

Runs good. First time in 11,000 miles.
Bikeless and Broke at the moment...

Phenix got dual horns. PIAA horns that don't need a relay.
One on the front as usual. Then I wired in a Y connection and ran wires back to the left side tail. (Wires shown are now tucked up out of the way).

I didn't have a place to mount the second horn so that it wouldn't look obnoxious. So I found it fits snug as a bug in a rug under the tail plastic.

And as an FYI: Those are not fluorescent lights. They are LED replacements. Only 19w each and more light. Plus when cold, they come right on. No flickering until they warm up.

made arrangements to sell Quin to brianRC. He lives a couple blocks away. Then together we will do the complete restoration of  Quin.

Oly came over and together all of us put a new horn on his Ninja 250.

Unloaded car from a parts run 3 weeks ago. Motor, fairing, wheels, box-o-parts.

In all, we had a fun day talking bikes and doing assorted wrenching.

OK - adding pictures.
Replacing horn.
Parts and parts ! the dumpster got lots of fairing parts. Well, all of them. I saved the headlight and fairing bracket. Lots of other good parts and a motor, seat and lots of other parts.

Bought a front tire today off a shady guy from Craigslist, $40 for a new K671 isn't too shabby though

Changed oil and filter, lubed chain, drained old fuel from tank (fuel was at least 9 months old) and new plugs. I also detailed the bike and checked and filled battery (distilled water) (I'm a clean freak). My wife keeps telling me I'm not in the military anymore.

When I cleaned the air filter I found 5 acorns and some old rat poison.

Looking forward to giving Quin a good home, and learning a lot about the GS.

Hope to be riding in a few weeks!

Finally finished the top plate for my current 37mm clip ons. Milled down the OEM clamps, hand sanded and smoothed everything, metal filled the low spots, used metal etching primer, base coated with a micro metallic silver and clear coated. Tomorrow I will wet sand and buff it and then it and the handle bars that go with it will all be for sale. I have one slightly low spot but it is only noticeable at certain angles.

Thanks. I also painted four more colors on test pieces today also. Still trying to decide on a color for the bike.

I painted Emerald Green metallic, Candy Red metallic, Deep Orange Metallic and a Holographic Gold.

I will post pics tomorrow once I have some good clear coats on them. It the sun they all look AMAZING!
