Took the bike out and gave it some love! Only did about 60 miles, but it was great! First real ride after new intake o-rings and valve adjustment, what a difference!

The older black side cover stickers are a nice touch.  Have considered this myself for awhile, and by the looks, it might be worth the $25-30 to swap 'em out.

Sonic Springs, R6 Shock, R6 Throttle Tube, Lowering Links, T-Rex Frame Sliders, SW-Motech Alu-Rack, SH46 Shad Topcase, Smoked Signals, Smoked LED Tailight, ZG Touring Windscreen

I hereby decree that any emblem customization you make must be accompanied by some sort of yellow accenting.

This is mostly because I thought about doing something similar and have wondered why I haven't seen color done on the emblems.

That might look pretty good too on my bike... Perhaps a yellow circle edging to match my rims...

well.. not today .. yesterday .. went on a local mountain and backroads vlog investigation....

so i ..
fueled it up, checked the pressure in the hoops.. and set off...
'tested' the suspension on some dirt/gravel/corrugations/potholes
experienced my road tires being somewhat ... lacking .. in loose gravel corners
'found' a cool little swimming hole/water crossing
... oh and bumped a wallaby .. at about 40km/h .. on the dirt ... didnt hurt it .. scared the crap out of both me and the wallaby .. didnt drop the bike ... didnt have time to even react and hit the brakes .. which was good, cos then i think i would have dropped the bike!

the water crossing/swimmin hole!

Golly

Disassembled forks for new seals and 20w oil as my 125kg bum needs the support when front braking lmao!

You can run, but you'll only die tired.
If you hit it with a hammer and it doesn't fix it, you have an electrical problem

Matt came over and put a clean set of carbs on FRANK. Now he runs really great. Looks like Matt will become the new owner of FRANK in the near future. When that happens I'll only have 4 GS500's so I better get ready to build another one.

just when I thought everything was going well I find an oil leak around my head gasket, only weeping ATM but enough to piss me off BACK TO THE WORKSHOP MANUAL ONCE MORE

Junior got new PowerMad plugs. I hadn't changed his plugs since the Dec. 2012 motorcycle show. He is very happy now.

mister

Got a new Sport Demon tire fitted to the front. Got over 30,000kms from my previous Sport Demon.

Cleaned her up, top to bottom. Installed new Iridium Spark Plugs, old ones were absolutely screwed, then give her an oil change.

Tinkered around with a few things and now shes running great!  O0

Finally received my battery tender and got it charging. Going to give it a test start on lunch. Hoping to catch a break in the rain to go for a ride before the weeks over
if yer binders ain't squeakin, you ain't tweakin!

steezin_and_wheezin

Got her started, oiled warmed up, and I now have a functioning clutch again! Been a while since I've heard her purr, I've missed it.

Now for an oil change and to knock out some failed photo challenges

took the bike to a spanner man today as this head gasket is a bit beyond me,

getting a complete set of new seals (upper and lower), head gasket, intake gaskets, exhaust gaskets (they'll be getting changed again in a fortnight) and o-rings for the engine studs/oil galleries.

he wants to check the piston faces aswell although the bike is running ok its quite lean, leaner then it used to be but that might be because of the leaky head,

on the plus side no noticeable loss in oil so its not pissing it out or burning it away.

also my f%$king exhaust has been stuck in Chicago for 4 days now bloody USPS
