My first night without a GS in 6 years

Watched my GS leave my driveway tonight... sigh.  Sold to a good friend of mine as her first bike, and I hope it gives her as much fulfillment as it's given me.     

My first bike was a '92 that I bought for 800 bucks in college.  Every maintenance job turned into a repair, and I didn't own any tools or garage space.  Come to think of it, that might be part of the reason it needed constant repairing...  Anyway, then I bought the '01 and gave in to the modding bug.  Now I own tools, a jack, clothes that are permanently stained with 3 different kinds of oil, and a shelf full of harmful chemicals.  Now I help my friends with their bikes (GS and non-GS alike).  But when I joined this forum, I couldn't even spell carbarator..carbuerater...carberueator... whatever, I still can't spell it.  But I just wanted to say...

Thank you to everyone.  The mods, the good guys, the villains, the postwhores, the young and the old, the people I found on here who were exactly like me, and the people I found on here who were nothing like me.  I always found the information I needed, or at the very least was entertained instead of frustrated.  You all are great.  Folks, appreciate this place.  Every vehicle I've had, I've found and used online forums, and I've never seen a group as friendly and helpful as this.  Not to mention the wide variety of random and cool things that you guys are passionate about and share with us.  And the outpouring of support and love after Rich's accident - it showed what really makes this forum a great thing.  Rich, you're still dearly missed. 

I'll still be around and lurking from time to time, and I'm always down for group rides!  But I figured the least I owe this forum, after all it's given me, is a thank you    Ride safe, everyone.
