Trying to put a 2002 carb on my 93 GS... my throttle cable is about an inch too short, what's the best way to extend it??? or should I get a new cable?

I'm not sure if there are different length cables in those years, I suggest checking the routing of the cable, someone may have done it the wrong way in the past. If that doesn't fix it, its probably easier to get a new cable (custom made if necessary) than extend the one you have.

I suggest you check the part numbers on bike-bandit for each year, see if there is a difference. If there is no difference the cable is routed or fitted wrong. If there is a difference, get the cable that suits your new carb.

Other thing to consider is the bars, have they been changed from stock?

Do you need the whole thing longer, or do you need the cable  to be longer inside the normal housing? if youre careful you can cut the housing shorter while the cable is still inside and come out with a cable that is longer by comparison. i had to do it on the moped because the slide wouldnt go all the way down in the new carb with the old cable.
