What should i do to prepare my bike for winter storage

This will be my first winter with my bike and I need to know what steps i need to take to keep it in the best shape while its in my shop over the winter. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

why store it when you can ride it.

if you cant ride it, winterize it.
