^^ noob question but what do you mean by feel different? What's the purpose of making it adjustable?

When I got the bike the pegs were all the way up and back.  since I'm an old guy, I thought I would feel too folded up and cramped.  But it was quite comfortable.  Then I had a knee injury so I moved them down and forward.  It helped a lot.  Then I had the shift linkage break. While waiting for a new part I had to move the pegs somewhere in the middle in order for the shortened linkage to work.

Been reworking the design here... trying to do everything I can to make as many components as modular as possible. Basically the the same parts of the same for the left or right side. This way, should someone crash, parts are cheaper/easier to replace.

Rearset redesign

This way everything is interchangable between sides.

saxman

With both sides. Still haven't done the heel guards yet.

Speaking of heel guards... cnc machined aluminum or carbon fiber plates? any opinions?

I like the 'or' option!!  (also because nothing on my bike is carbon fiber).  Can't wait to see it!!  Thanks for keeping us posted.

Both those sets look good.

Awesome job saxman!  I'll be following this thread to see how they turn out as I would also be interested if you start producing them.

I got pro-e on my comp as well as Im an engineering student and thought about milling out some pegs but never got the motivation to do what you did

Keep it up!

I just want the adaptor plates so I can move my stock controls around.

Just ordered enough aluminum to make 3 sets of rear sets  :icon_eek:

so where are we on these?
Aluminum is showing up tomorrow. Going on the cnc mill thursday.

saxman

Metal is here.

Running the rear set model through some cam software, going on the mill tomorrow

Just curious about the weight that could be applied to the pegs with these sets, what kind of aluminum did you get?

BTW Im pumped to see the first batch! Looking awesome

saxman

6061 aluminum. Haven't calculated out the weight load, but the weakest link is still 3/8" al rod, fully supported in a bearing, so I'm not worried about it.
