$200 for a set of GS wheels... that's a joke. They go for less than half.

Hope these aren't yours.

joshr08

its prolly not that bad of a price if you add up 2 gs rims + 2 sport demon tires.  gl with the sale.

$200 for wheels and practically new tires?  Plus axles and spacers.  I didn't think that was that bad.

Oh well, that's why I have the best offer option there.

Getting rotors and sprockets and all the other parts is a good deal.
Someone should grab them.
I recently got the gray rims for Junior so I'm sorry I don't need those.
Good deal though. I've shopped enough ebay to know a deal price when I see it.

I sold mine for $35 a piece plus shipping. Guess I shoulda charged more. But, thought I'd pass along a deal because of what another GStwinner did for me. Actually, Adidas didn't you buy one from me? . Still got a black rim with rotor and a not so good tire I need to get rid of.

Now THAT is more realistic. Based on completed auctions on ebay (or auctions without any interest because they were priced high)

PS: Adidasguy, I prefer not to have a pissing contest... but since you said you shop on eBay and know a good price when you see one (and you think this IS priced right), let me know when you need GS wheels because I would LOVE to sell to you. I've tried to list some on ebay for HALF this price and nobody even bid on them. Oh yeh and I've been selling/buying on eBay (mostly selling) for 11 years now.  :D

Based on other wheels, most do not include the brake rotors (usually $40 for a rotor) or the cush drive. So that's why I felt the price was reasonable. Without good tires or the extras, and very few dings or scratches, $50-$75 a wheel is a pretty common price. Lower if the wheel needs to be repainted.

Then sometimes there are really good deals. I got 2 brand new front rims, white, never used for $80 each.

Prices go all over the place and vary from time to time. For a while, factory clip ons were all over the palace. Now, hard to find. One buy can charge $30 for as full set and another will charge $45 for one bar.

Wheels vary, too. When I wanted gray rims for Junior, it took 2 months to find good ones. I didn't want to have to repaint them. You also have to figure in shipping. Some guys charge $25 while others charge $80. Some rims are advertised as "tested straight" and others you don't know. I'll pat a little extra for a tested wheel. With the economy down, prices for some things are lower. Seems front wheels go for more than rear - probably because front wheels get damaged more. It might be better to sell the wheels separately. $75 OBO for each. If tested straight - that's a big plus because who wants a crooked wheel that was in a crash? Or wants to take that chance?  More people probably need a front wheel than a rear.

Also, not being the main riding season, prices are all over the place. Center tail plastic pieces are like $20 or more. A few months ago they were $5 or so. Go figure  :dunno_black:

:2guns: Pissing matches are fun as long as in the winter and you get to write your name in the snow. :) Dotting the "I" and crossing the "T" take the extra skill.
