a weird food question, ( normal food but weird topic/ HELP ME FART ! ) lol :(

im wondering somethign, well im 152 lbs, am skinny as a crack whore,  ( besides water retention in lower legs,) but abdomen is swellign, makes me look like i have a beer gut. been to docs and er thrice since august. they say take a shiite or fart. im like errm wth?, well anyhoo is there any food product that causes gas?, I.E. something i can eat that WOULD cause it? hell gotta do somethign until next docs appt in a month or so, like beans or eggs or?, hell im bored, and might as well figure out a solution to this issue :oops:

Add more fiber to your diet, oatmeal is great for that. Its hard to tell without knowing your diet now, but try cutting out processed foods as much as u can, eat lots of veggies and whole grain products etc. That should be a good start. I was in the same situation as you about 10 or so years ago, my diet was crap and I was always bloated causing the "beer gut" appearance. Too much fast and junk food was the major culprit I believe. And it never hurts to get some exercise every now and again, get your blood pumping.

Pick up some Psyllium husk powder. Just enough will make you regular. Too much will give you plenty of gas! Drink more water too. Good luck!

You're at the age where the body begins to sag. I know - I've been there.
Don't know your alcohol consumption, but that does cause water retention and a Buddha belly. (the religious one, not our buddha).
Reducing alcohol plus good cardio workouts makes a big difference. Doesn't have to be running - just anything that gets your body moving. Good weight lifting where you keep your heart rate up is as good as running or biking to lose those extra pounds and redistribute your weight where it should be. Last year I dropped 35 pounds and 4 inches in the waist.
Some supplements can help.
Getting your body moving - especially your core - will really get the poop moving through it. Doing crunches and leg lifts (and other exercises) compresses the abdomen and there is no where for the poop and gas to go except out the rear. Jumping jacks and squat thrusts do the same - shake things up and get that poop moving.
Men develop a layer of fat under the abs. That is hard to get rid of. (Women develop a layer of fat elsewhere - its just the difference in biology.) You're at the age where that starts to develop.
Read Men's Health. Lots of good stuff in that magazine.

Well, with my Crohn's disease I go back and forth on the lets 'em say delivery method of my fecal contents. I know beef kills my stomach and is like liquid plumber for my intestines high fat food also does it because I have a hard time digesting it. So, what did I do today? I grabbed a buck double from BK. Oh sweet Jesus I hope my BF does not get in his car anytime soon ( :whisper: supposed to be sunny tomorrow Praying) the gas was so horrific I had to roll the windows down in the rain. I thought I was going to have that little alien burst through my stomach at any moment. This was 10 minutes after the sandwich and was on the pot most of the night. Is it really worth all that sometimes YES!

ive been wondering, if i had done this to myself. been taking maybe 8 aleve per day to deal wiht leg issues, kidney issues, hell abd. been like this since august. hope its jsut gas or midlife realestate expansion Eh?

Yea, probably overdosing.
I looked on a bottle and it said "do not exceed 3 every 24 hours".
Check the side effects and cut down.
Then see your doctor - be sure to mention you have been overdosing.

Like all drug companies, they don't mention much about the side effects because their business is selling you drugs. They want side effects to be a secret. But they do say on their web site to not take it for more than 10 days in a row.

Yea - you've overdosed. Time to see your doctor to get your metabolism straightened out.

drink a 12 pack of bud light
go to a sushi bar and pig out along with copious amounts of sake.

cheap yet effective i WILL try this this coming week, minus the saki or sushi, i can do it for 20 or so. as W would say, " This is a weapon of arse destruction"

Try what you want. It seems you're wanting to ignore that 3 Aleve per day for 10 days is the max dose. You've been doing 8 per day since August. That's a serious OD of over the counter medication - which is a major cause of illness and death.

OK. I've said it again. Up to you to deal with overdosing (according to the Aleve site) or not.

Seek emergency medical help if you have symptoms of heart or circulation problems, such as chest pain, weakness, shortness of breath, slurred speech, or problems with vision or balance.

Aleve can also increase your risk of serious effects on the stomach or intestines, including bleeding or perforation (forming of a hole). These conditions can be fatal and gastrointestinal effects can occur without warning at any time while you are taking Aleve. Older adults may have an even greater risk of these serious gastrointestinal side effects.

Call your doctor at once if you have symptoms of bleeding in your stomach or intestines. This includes black, bloody, or tarry stools, or coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds.

Do not use any other over-the-counter cold, allergy, or pain medication without first asking your doctor or pharmacist. Many medicines available over the counter contain aspirin or other medicines similar to Aleve (such as ibuprofen or ketoprofen). If you take certain products together you may accidentally take too much of this type of medication. Solution is simple: Cease eating all processed foods of any description (bread is a processed food). If you aren't eating fresh fruits and vegetables - and only chicken or beef you cook yourself, if you eat flesh - then you're giving your body extra work to do. Cease drinking all beverages other than water you purify yourself - no Soy (known for abdominal bloating and pains), no soda, no alcohol, no coffee, no milk, just water as nature intended.

And see your doc about the overdosing medication you've been on.

Pretty simply really, cut down on the meat and increase the vegetables in your every day diet. I was veggie for about four years and when i switched i got the effect you are looking for, lots of other vegetarians can confirm this. I went back to being a carnivore after about four years (boredom!) but I have modified my diet a lot, I still enjoy a steak but rather less often.

You don't have to make a drastic switch if you don't want to but cut down particularly on the red meats as much as you can. If this is not enough increase your intake of pulses and green leaved veg particularly Brassicas (Cabbage family, sprouts, cauliflower etc) anything with fibre like sweet potatoes is good. Switch at your own pace until you get to the stage of using meat as a flavouring rather than the bulk in a meal.
If you want bulk - wholemeal bread. Remember Chips/Fries should not be increased! Green veg, Pulses and other root veg is where you want to be.

For dessert - eat loadsa fruit.
